Well you can't blame him... Iran is not at his first attempt in that field of Propaganda stunt...
Anyway. Back on Topic. Those T-72 upgrade with Ru T-90 subsystem is useless... they should have jumped on those T-90 instead, with local manufacturing... since the embargo is over... what a waste of money...

LOL, for your information embargo is not over, no till 2021.

And Karrar is much better for Iran than any foreign acquired tanks.

Now not only we are able to upgrade our fleet of more than 500 T-72s to Karrar, we can now manufacture completely new Karrars, perhaps except the engine, which I believe there are already plans for a domestic engine.

Alternatively we can acquire engines from Russia.

Upgrading of existing T-72s and even manufacturing new Karrars will keep the production line busy for several years, untill that date we surely can prepare the infrastructure for production of tank engines.
