I can also give instances of sect fight/discrimination within Hinduism, e.g the schism and discrimination between Vadakalai and Tenkalai iyengars, both followers of Sri Vaishnavism. The sanskrit bases vadakalais consider themselves superior to Tamil based Tenkalais
