One of the reason I think people don't take traffic police seriously is that they look unprofessional most of them have big bellies
If they have good physique and better uniforms then I don't think anyone would treat them like this
And most of the people take politeness as a sign of weakness and this is one of the reasons behind bad behavior of police if they talk politely then people try to bully them

Wow that's sickening. If she did that here she'd been arrested and fined for 1) violation of traffic laws, 2) for failure to comply with lawful directive of officer, 3) for refusing/failure to provide valid identification, she would also have been arrested and her car would have been towed.

But the Police munching on Donuts is a worldwide accepted routine.

We are not discussing when is brute force applicable. We are discussing the society's disregard to law and order and how sense of entitlement brought upon by mere economic growth is leading the country towards anarchy.

These incidents are a everyday occurrence and are routinely highlighted.

Police brutality in Pakistan is not something undocumented nor unusual nor surprising. Government had promised reforms but I guess everyone has resigned themselves to fate and will of 'few' men in Pakistan.

These people follow laws and rules when it is favorable for them.

If people are stronger than the laws and rules then it is game over for the society. It becomes then a matter of whose mighty at that given moment. That is what happened to Salman Taseer, but on that fateful day he was not stronger than the guard who shot him dead.

Its a governance issue. There is little governance out there in Pakistan specifically when it comes to making sure that influential people also abide by the set rules and laws.

As far as danda, goli, kartoos, churri, chaqu, nail cutter and patakhas are strength. As i said it is a matter of fate, there is no stopping that someone may react in an excessive manner and takes out her/his frustration that day on that rich influential person.

Then we will be discussing police brutality. Some will say police is brutal and abuse their power and some will say it was a matter of undue stress and matter of sudden rage brought upon by mean words, but there will be one more dead person in the country and that is the bottom line, human suffering and value of human dignity and life.

The police impounded on Thursday the car of the woman who misbehaved with a traffic police officer in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

She had threatened the officer after he had stopped her for jumping a traffic light.

The police raided her house in DHA Phase-VIII and impounded her White Toyota Corolla. According to the police, the woman was not at home during the raid.

“We are searching for her using our location tracker,” said an investigating officer. “Her latest locations were Malir and District Central.”

A video posted on Twitter by multiple users on November 26 showed that she was stopped by an on duty traffic police officer for jumping a traffic signal on DHA’s Khayaban-e-Shahbaz. The video seemed to have been filmed by the traffic official himself.

In the video, the woman, instead of admitting her mistake started verbally abusing and threatening the traffic police officer for daring to confront her. The woman was also driving without a licence.

The police have registered a case against her at the Darakhshan Police Station on behalf of Sub Inspector Nawaz Siyal.

Woman who abused Karachi traffic cop gets pre-arrest bail

A woman caught on camera misbehaving with a police officer in Karachi’s DHA has obtained pre-arrest bail.

The woman has been identified as Sana. She presented the proof of her bail to the investigation officer at the Darakhshan police station. The police had been searching for her for three days.

They impounded her car on Thursday of the woman during a raid at her house in DHA Phase-VIII. She was not at home during the raid. The police had been searching for her using their location tracking software.

A video posted on Twitter by multiple users on November 26 showed that she was stopped by an on duty traffic police officer for jumping a traffic signal on DHA’s Khayaban-e-Shahbaz. The video seemed to have been filmed by the traffic official himself.

In the video, the woman, instead of admitting her mistake started verbally abusing and threatening the traffic police officer for daring to confront her. The woman was also driving without a licence.

When the officer told her she had “engaged in signal violation” and would be fined for it, she said she would “break” his face.

“You’re jumping the signal and, on top of it, you’re verbally abusing me,” responded the officer, to which she said: “Get out of here, get lost!”

However, after repeatedly threateningly the police officer and calling him an “old man” and other things, she fled from the scene when the traffic police officer tried to issue her a challan.

The video captured the licence plate of the car as well and according to the excise department’s website, it is registered to Pir Roshan Din Shah Rashdi. The FIR was sent to his house in Hyderabad.

The police had registered a case against her at the Darakhshan Police Station on behalf of Sub Inspector Nawaz Siyal.
