the politicians deliberately sat on NAB bickering over it until the terrorists regained their confidence and have resumed their carnage. if they will be raided and/ or killed in action by Rangers then people will say one ethnic community is being targeted. as for claim for the murder of Sabri, one must take such claim with pinch of salt. at one time newspapers have received multiple claims from different organisations about the same incident. and then there is the issue of abduction of CJ's son and the Ahmedi doctor.... what do you say about those/


security agencies arrest these people in the operations. they walk free from the courts.
if they capture contract killers and their financiers in PPP and MQM then political parties cry that its a threat to democracy

people of Karachi can die for all they care but these criminals and their financiers cant be touched to save democracy

This responsibility claim is highly doubt full. TTP low level leaders never call any tom dick and harry.
Whenever TTP take responsibility, they call big shots in Pakistani journalism and take pride of their crime.

Three events in two days more to come .... the question is why now an IMMEDIATE SURGE of this type of events ....??

To have a little bit of understanding of this question we need to understand that there was three main Law & Order issues of Karachi

1- Target Killing
2- Extortion
3- Kidnapping

All these crime went to nose dive since the beginning of Karachi Operation If we look carefully there was no reports in media regarding Target killing, Extortion & Kidnapping around 10-15 days back, but suddenly after 5 or 6 Ramzan reports regarding the extortion demands start coming particularly from the business hub of old city areas which were mainly under the influence of Layari Gangs for such crimes; I think there is no need to mention relations of Layari Gang & PPP

Before the operation Target killing was happening in all parts of City but high profile killings was mostly used to happen in those areas of the city which are part of MQM 'Political State' like killing of Wali Khan Baber & the killing of witness related to this case, attacks on Rangers Check post and other such cases which used to grab headlines

Other then this some of banned outfits were also involved in target killing for example Sabeen Mehmood, killing of Parveen Rehman, Safora Ghot incident and other cases, one thing which we should keep in mind the motive in most of the Target killings were Political or Financial gains specially related to Land garbing & in this crime of target killing all of the 'usual suspects' are involved

Kidnappings were occurring more for financials reasons, particularity the short term kidnapping in which some of the elements of the Civil Law Enforcement Agencies were also involved

Now after the brief recap of the situation before the Karachi operations its clear that there is two basic Criminal Forces which were & till now active in Karachi

1- Political Actors (PPP, MQM, ANP as a junior participant)
2- Non-Political (All banned outfits + Business Community specially Builders & Developers)

Now coming to the recent events ....

Kidnapping of the son of Cheif Justice of Sindh High Court

if some one try to analyze the publicly available details he was abducted in the similar way as some other high profile kidnappings occurred such as kidnapping of Asad Khan Tareen son of Baluchistan Minister which mean either anyone form banned outfits have kidnapped Mr. Owais or some other form usual suspect have done this as there is a very unusual theory is in circulation regarding one of the political party which may fetch some benefits form this event btw if one has to believe this theory then he should keep eyes on future events related to Sindh politics things will be clear in few days or weeks.

Killing of Mr. Sabri & politics which was played at his funeral services by MQM raised serious questions, but one thing which one should not ignore at this stage is the Claim of responsibility by Hakeem Ullah Meshood Group additionally the facial features of one the suspected attacker as per the sketch issued by police does not match with natives of that area here one thing is worth mentioning that a sizable population of illegal Afghans also resides in this area & more astonishing fact is that these Afghans along with locals are residing at an illegally occupied land previously belong to Mr. Hakeem Saeed which now sold to some builder who manage to get the custody of some of the vacated portion of this land with the help of Law enforcing agencies some time back now those illegal occupiers have moved to high court for stay order last year & case if I am not wrong is still the in court.

Amjad Sabri was not just the leading face of the media campaign for that project but it is said that he was in good terms with the builder & visited that area number of times, don't know police will investigate this angle or not but if this is the case than the killing of Amjad Sabri is a message to the builders of that residential project at that occupied land.

Other than this if Hakeem ullah Meshood angle is correct (which may very well be a diversion tactic) one more interesting development related to this is the surrender of Uncle & Brother of Hakeem Ullah Meshood to the Pakistan Army just few days backs (exact date is not confirm) & the news came in Media at 20th of this month, now the equation become quite complex as this indicates not only that some other elements of this group or other group of TTP are still functional but have reached to one of the Most Populated Urban center of country (district central is the most populated area of Karachi) THIS KILLING IS A DIRECT MESSAGE TO THE ARMY & if I am reading it right than the message is clear they will target Karachi this thing get more clear by an unsuccessful attack on Frahan Ali Waris on his way back to his home after attending the sit-in at Numaish against the target killing of Amjad Sabri on the very same day of his killing

Now keep in mind this is happening after the two years of Zarb-e-Azab operation plus inclusion of TTP elements other than Meshood group which along Sajna grooups were more active in Karachi but facing nearly extinction as the result of continuous hunt by Rangers & Police


More high profile terrorist attacks may occur in Karachi specially near to religious events.

Then you got Zardari who is right now in LA trying to meet with Hillary to create the impression that he got powerful forigen backers. As for PM, he is in self exile. KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two arrested Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) operatives on Thursday have revealed during interrogation that the banned outfit has formed a new network to collect extortion money after Operation Zarb-e-Azb broke its back.

The TTP operatives were apprehended earlier from Defense area.

The two militants said that Pakistan Army’s large-scale operation has broken TTP’s back financially. Akhtar and Akbar said that desperate banned outfit has formed a new network to support its ill motives.

A group comprising of six persons receive extortion money from industrialists. The group is governed by a commander in Waziristan, they added.

Law enforcers have been told that terrorists have taken up residence in SITE area. In case people refuse to comply with extortion, they get a threat call from Wana. The arrested terrorists said that operatives who were supposed to rob banks have either been caught or killed in police encounters."

I forget the name of new group emerge in Karachi ( recently heard in talk shows ) they are mix of LeJ SSP.
The religious fundos even in this forum never put blames on out fit banned group ( don't know their love for them or hate for MQM )
