Don't know about ISIS, but HuT supporters are in fairly large numbers in the military...and ever since the incident with that Brig, pretty close tabs have been kept on a whole lot of them, I know of a few cases personally as well, where the officers have been under questioning and taken to task.

In army there are many supporters of tableegi jama from top to bottom. Infact airforce is more inclined toward this school of thought. When tariq jamil visited AHQ all bases were connected with video link. Air chief and molana Tariq Jamil are class fellows.

And Yes recently Gen Javed nasir also met with high ranking officers in GHQ. After three hours long discussion official appreciated his efforts and cause.

i cannot give authentic information but I was reading Col Khanzada's old interview where he had mentioned that though he was not SSG but after joining ISI for Field work he went through Commando course.....and given 70% of the staff in the agency is civilians and they are leading the ops, so i believe this stands true that they are training for conducting raids

70% of ISI is not civilian. Not sure where you got that. And direct action in MOUT are very difficult missions. 45 days isn't enough to become an expert in that kind of warfare. You need constant training and exercises. A one time course will teach you fundamentals but not the experience from constant live fire training and developed muscle memory from refining entry and clear techniques not to mention skills with weapons and explosives.

Zarrar company spends a lot of time with these skills. It takes years for an operative to become an expert in this field and even then things can go wrong. That is there only job which is why they are the experts.

A 45 day course is just a beginner course. They should never be front and center unless it is their daily life to practice dynamic entries and avoiding fatal funnels in tight corridors.

@slides,you are confusing two very key concepts, being competent and capable to conduct the raid and Being Specialist. Read earlier posts of Icarus, no one has said that they are the Specialist, but disciplined and oriented. you are comparing a Street Racer, who soups up his car and knows well how tp handle that extra torque to a F1 race car / Nascar Driver.......Also dont forget that Intel Officer was with RATS, and we for sure don't know his position on the Team, he cannot be the one breaching the door, but second to enter the room, possibly right.....
