There are millions of Afghanis who just want to lead a normal life, away from violence and drugs.

And there are many millions more who don't. Afghanistan needs to be either forcibly civilized or population neutered. They are not fit to live in a modern world. They are like the red Indians but without any morals or ethics, at least the red indians had a code of honor.

in the recent history, lets say in last 50 years, when has us responded to any country who can even fight back with one gun and one soldier?? Iranians are daring and insulting America and Americans for last 30 years, but Iraq with dud weapons became the target.

Unfortunately, the minority that is in charge of Afghanistan will never consider us a brother. They think Pakistan was an integral part of Afghanistan, specially KPK.

Pakistan first. Some of the muslim countries are the bitchiest countries, worst than Israel for Pakistan.

That is correct. The current Afghan pro /USIndia regime won't last long. Russia and China will not let a pro US regime stay in Afghanistan anymore. Russia has already dealt with US in Syria. Now, they want to kich US out of Afghanistan as well.

The real priority isn't even America...it's ISIS/Daesh....With that said, it should regularly be highlighted WHO gains from Afghan taleban/rebel fighters getting weakened and ISIS/Daesh gaining foot-hold.

You can be sure China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran will NEVER allow that to happen. We are all on the same page in that respect. Even Jamat ud Dawa/Falah e Insaniat has started getting involved in publishing books and pamphlets about Daesh and their takfiri agenda......this annoys the indians especially b/c there have been many protests lately in Kashmir where Kashmiris raise the Pakistani flags....the indians have moles inside who want to villify Kashmir liberation struggle by creating a false narrative that ISIS is in Kashmir also.

It's all kind of inter-connected. There is an art behind state-craft afterall. @Horus care to chime in on this?

ISIS/Daesh are the American products. I don't even have 1% doubt about it. TTP had been defeated badly by Pak Army so now they're helping ISIS/Daesh be strong inside Afghanistan to launch attacks on Pakistani soil.

because at the time we were aligned with the Free World, USSR was a primary arms supplier to the enemy on the east, also supported Mukti bahini rebels diplomatically. It was a mix of strategic interests and pride.

We won then, but now times are very different; ground realities are different, strategic re-alignments taking place

The presidential palace on Friday rejected Pakistan’s accusations that the recent suicide attack on the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Pakistan was masterminded from Afghanistan soil.



"Afghanistan has never allowed anyone to use its soil for terrorist activities against regional countries or its neighbors. We also expect other countries not to let insurgent groups harbor safe havens on their soil," said Shah Hussain Murtazawi, deputy spokesman of president.

they made a fuss about cross border movements, so did we.....we fenced the border 40 feet within our side of the border and a few rogue ANA guys (who took orders from the top of their chain of command) fired on our positions. We retaliated, continued to fence the border anyways. They fired again we leveled one of their checkposts to the ground then they begged us to stop (and we did).

We carried out major operations in Swat, N.Waz. Khyber and Kurram to flush the area of the TTP rats.....asked them to nab whoever crosses. They refused. We asked them to setup at least half as many checkposts as we have on the border areas, they refused.

We asked for Fazlullah (whose operatives killed 166 school age children in Peshawar) they refuse.

When they are ready to act like a sovereign nation, they'll be treated like one. For now, they are a troubled brother high on drugs. Sometimes divine intervention and 'tough love' is the only way.
