It is all politically motivated. PPP was definitely behind it. Here in Karachi Christians were holding violent protests and the provincial govt was seem to be supporting them despite the violence and vandalism.

What was done in Lahore was wrong. Yes. But it is parties like PPP who want to take advantage of it.

We have a lot of work ahead to ensure protection of all minority groups

As an international obligation, as a society that loves our country, and as human beings

The Posters country of origin endured slavery, a civil war and a popular civil rights movement in order to enact reforms to protect a minority (not a religious one but a racial one)

We need strong institutions to ensure swift justice and to prevent criminals from disturbing public law and order

If one was in a bad state to begin with and then gradually improved that would make sense.
But we started off good as a secular and tolerant nation and the progressed into barbarianism thanks to some of the democratically elected figures like Bhutto, Nawaz, Benazir and now Zardari!
