Joining Kashmiri Mujahideen

I might join the Pakistani Army, but some of you guys should make not of my next point. I am not supporting the Kashmiri issue of Jihad grounds nor a burning desire to be martyred, I'm supporting the issue on more of a natioanalistic view.
Oh and I know a lot of Kashmiris. The problems they are having there (economically) can be attributted the Indian Armies "Iron Fist" rule, the Indian Government would rather pump money into the Hindu's and Army their than the Muslims. I believe a lot of income their is agriculatural although there are a few factories being built by Kashmiris abroad.
As for British Intell, you guy's listen to too much Green Journalism. jag, you probably got busted because you posted it using a uni PC, they have monitoring software that highlights certain meta tags and phrases. It is against Birtish law to monitor somebody else who is not in an educational institution and to that they'd have to install some kind of software on EVERY computer and phone here, and you can't install that on the internet because it's impossible. Wire Tapping is a different thing.
If I do join the Pakistani Army, I'd probably choose to join the Kashmiri Regiment (if I get a choice). Btw, its the Kashmiri Regiment doing border guarding near Kotli isn't it?

I wasn't using a uni pc. It was a personal pc. Just some viewers used uni's wifi access to view my blog.

About the Kashmir issue, experience things first hand. Listening things from friends, hearing things, reading things on internet are different. Experiencing the same things first hand are what matter.

I don't think the Indian Government would give me a visa to Indian Kashmir, I've experienced everthing else in Azad.

You would have no problems with Visa. Your visit will be monitored but thats about it.

It is your misconceptions that are coloring your views. In fact, what you should be doing is worry and find out about the Uighur Muslims and what the GoC has done and their conditions which are much worse compared to what the GoI has done to Kashmir Muslims, particularly related to their religious rights.

Other wise, there are plenty of threads on alternative viewpoints as well as opinion surveys polls on what Kashmir Muslims think.

There is a thread on profiling Kashmir police which is a local Muslim majority force fighting militancy as expected from a Muslim majority state.

Also read reports by Human Rights Watch, International Crisis group, UNHCR and the European delegation that recently visited both Indian and Pakistani sides of Kashmir and you will be surprised to find that it was Pakistan that came under more criticism than India. Links to these should also be available in the Kashmir section. You might realize that improving the life of the people of Pakistani Kashmir and fighting for their rights should be your first priority after reading those reports.

I've seen many, they are usually in their bases. The only troops I've seen on walk about are the one's in Kotli but that's to be expected since it borders India.

I doubt they would give me a Visa, because of my natioanlity. And I'm sure they'd monitor anybody with Pakistani heritage going into J&K like Chinese Olympic Police. But I'll try anyway.

It is a general rule of thumb that Governments shy away from heavy and direct investment in infrastructure in areas infested with terrorism and militancy.....The developments become the first target of these radicals as a means to cripple state infrastructure....

Another important reason is that parts of Kashmir that are bordering Pak are prone to shelling and rocket attacks.....hence only infrastructure pertaining to the armed forces is a cost efficient investment....

The "lack" of development can be attributed to both the raging militancy that you so desperately want to be part of and also the GOI and its need to protect investment.....
I hope you dont believe that this has anything to do with religion....

PS: Take my words with a grain of salt.....I recommend you join the Pakistan Armed forces where you can lay your life for a "National" cause as a martyr and a hero than with some random militant org that will probably use you as a tool to a larger means......

Besides, an educated fellow like yourself can help your people in ways much more than being a delivery mechanism for a suicide vest.....
"The pen is mightier than a sword" if one knows how to use it.....Just ask your friends the Chinese....They know way too much about this....

I'd like to know which Pakistani Regiments are more "Kashmir Based" and how I can join a Kashmiri Freedom Fighter Organization. What are the requirements and pay? I'm not bothered about the money, there are more important things.

So you are endorsing pakistani army's role in kashmiri mujahideen moment? I tell you what, you just verified some indian media reports on this.

You don't need a Visa to work with Mujahideen. Just go to Pakistan and establish communication with one of the people associated with these organizations. I'm sure there are plenty and it wont be hard.. Wear a T Shirt with the print "Mujhe Kaum Ke Liye Shaheed Hona Hai" and someone will definately find you ;)

Then you will receive taliban style commando training before you're deployed to one of the camps in ***, after which depending on skill you might infiltrate Kashmir (with cover fire provided by your troops) ...or you might be a part of another Mumbai Style attack. Whichever it is, we humbly await you and promise that we shall be more hospitable this time. We're more prepared for surprise guests now:angel:
