Jhaur - The War of 1971

Great documentary. As expected it was a really difficult watch, especially the first hand accounts of torture commited by the Indians in clear violation of the surrender agreement. There was a clear failure on the part of both our civil and military leadership in handling the whole issue. Simply blaming Niazi as many Pakistanis seem to do is also not justified.

All that pessimism... talk about killings and when the time came they chooses to lay down their arms..... sure its not easy to fight, especially in those circumstances but still should have fought till death instead of laying down arms by 45000/99000. That's a lot of soldiers!

You should really look at this from the survivors' and their families' point of view.Ask them if they prefer their loved ones laid down their arms and lived or died for nothing. Laying down your life, when overall defeat is ensured anyway,is pointless.

Just mustered the strength to watch tgis video and watching the footage of dead W. Pakistani children made my blood boil and renewed by belief that we in W. Pakistan were in the right and Bengalis went astray.
