JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

JF-17 with twin SD-10 launcher. Too bad its a full size mock up, but if official co partner is displaying this than it could be a reality in upcoming variant.

PAC has distributed brochures with dual rack pylons for sd-10 in the past unless some one photoshopped it but it was around last Paris show and did not looked like someone else photoshopped it

But who knows

Even the smaller model in the background has dual racks.

Even PAF has imported several pairs of dual rack pylons from China. They've also made a local dual rack pylon but no further news on it so far. They will be used when needed. All jf-17s are quite capable of carrying four SD-10As.

But those dual racks are for carrying General Purpose bombs. ?

Yawwn... who cares?!?!

I agree. Dual racks for AAM would be different from those required for A2G due to the need to space the weapon systems differently. There is no guarantee that PAF has bought dual racks for AAM. I think the standard configuration that PAF has adopted is 2 SRAAM, 2 BVR AAM, 2 x fuel tanks.

It is 2018 and that is the best solution the engineers can come up with for the canopy hinges?? Wtf !!!!! shocking poor design decisions fromthe engineers for this aircraft.

There is news floating on one of the sister forums that the number of JF-17 to be inducted by PAF will be around 325. All Block-1 & 2 will be converted to Block-3.

Block-III will have structural improvements, more fuel capacity and possibly further reduced RC because of structural changes. So upgrade of all block 1s and 2s which PAF operates may not be possible.

Second, anything above number 150-200 will possibly evolve further into Block-IV. So stopping at Block-III doesn't sound right either.
