JF-17 In Saudi Arabia

Hi-
The guy in glasses is a philpino-
And i am not sure if philpinos are allowed to work in a saudi airforce base-

The other option is that KSA is evaluating the JF-17 for coprduction on behalf of other Arab nations that are likely to join the GCC, like Morocco, Jordan and Egypt, this platform will be an affordable and potent fighter for them, mostly with upcoming upgrades, AESA radar, BVR capabilities and so on...

i think, we are very close in deal of Jf-17 with saudia.
But remember in past saudi's test al khalid's in their deserts but they dont ordered.

the next best chance any other aircraft has is F-16 Block 52 or 60 but why when they got Typhoon with ToT.

indeed if they decide to raise an aggressor squadron of Jf-17s but that too is unlikely

with tot? And where is the industrial base there?

ask Arab posters about Typhoons in KSA
hard to believe that typhoons are assembled in ksa of the sheikhs. Even if it is, the manpower must be 100 percent imported, albeit reserving some menial jobs for the bedoins.and some subcontinental expats.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is one of the Kingdom’s largest international supporters of the industrial sector through the transfer of technology and expertise. It employs 5,300 people in Saudi Arabia - around 60 per cent of its employees Saudi nationals - and 250 people in the UK.

You are doing your brothers a great disservice with a statement like above. You need to learn of the advances the arab nations have made tbrough the effort of the local populace.

my statement seems to have stirred up a hornet's nest. Apologies to every one. But i can not stop myself from lamenting the fact that the saudi kings have just frittered away the enormous wealth that was at their disposal since the late sixties. Had they put it to a judicious use the whole ummah could have benifited. I leave it at that.

I dont have have any problems with a view point and fully agree with you. However there is a way of saying things and yours was derogatory and that is the reason for the response.
As to the Saudis, you have to understand that the dynamics of every nation are different and wisdom comes with experience. Mistakes were and are being committed but the decorum of pointing mistakes out needs to be complied with.
Rest is fine. You have apologised so lets move on.
