After looking at this image of a model of the JF-17: defence.pk/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/3198

It is apparent that the leading edge root extensions have made the wings more delta shaped, similar to LCA, but obviously the JF has tail elevators which the LCA lacks. How would these two features affect JF's flying characteristics, compared to LCA?

Also, the under-wing missile appears to be a PL-12/SD-10, but the wingtip missile shown on the model does not appear to be PL-9C or sidewinder. It also does not seem to resemble any of the PL series. Can anybody identify it? Perhaps somebody can post this picture on sinodefence to find out?

One last question. Does anybody have any information regarding the two extra hardpoints to be fitted on production JF? I believe Mark Sein/FaisalK posted on PDF some insider information that two extra hardpoints will be fitted on the fuselage next to the air intakes. Obviously it is most likely that they are intended to carry mission pods for targetting/laser designating, EW/Jamming and reconaissance. But considering that the JF could use a couple more hardpoints to carry more BVR air intercept missiles, is it possible that they could be used for carrying SD-10? Also, is there any information about JF's wingtip weapon stations being used for carrying BVR missiles?
