I think the worries about the engine situation is unfounded. With or without the Russians the situation is not as dire as you think. In the short term RD-93 will suffice. In the long term, China has already planned on inducting the J-35, which will use medium thrust domestic engines, meaning that WS-13E will not be vaporware and will get hundreds of thousands of hours of flight testing before 2030. If WS-19 has good news then there is even less to worry about.

Give a little bit more respect and relevance to the government (i understand that our representatives are not the best kind). When we give power to our military to operate the way they do. Then people like Bajwa go out to other countries and start asking for financial help from allies. I don't know what they end up giving up in exchange.

No we were not. PAF several times came out and said they were satisfied with RD-93

WS-13 will show up on JF one way or another. First on B3, later on B2s post MLU.

Chinese planning doesn’t end at Bajwa, life will continue long after he’s left the helm too. And aircraft system life cycles are measured in decades, not a few years.

I think that is a wrong assumption. Both my age to call me a kid, and also that there is no oversight of the US govt on USAF spending and decisions they make. Besides, my point was not about interference, it was a reply to someone who think arm forces are more important then the civilian govt.
You should pm me and meet with me so I can ‘properly’ introduce me and my background. I am only young at heart.
