Yep it’s PL-5, just compared and confirmed. This picture is possibly from the first flight? It was carrying PL-5E then.

Interesting that the IR-based MAWS at the top of the fin are located offset to each other, presumably due to lack of internal space if they were in-plane.

You won't see the hardpoints from this angle as it's in "clean" configuration, meaning no hardpoint rail has been added. Much like you can't see the hardpoints under the wings.

Landing gear looks to be exactly the same as before though. Intakes are the same, height is the same, wing thickness is the same. only that area under the roots of the wings looks different.

HuD and hmd setting looks different , we see once more details are shared , no IRST ?? At least not yet

also the 8th hp is also not making any visual changes till pylon is attached curious what the capacity ? Aselpod is 235 kg plus minus 5 % so at least 235 kg

per pac internal fuel capacity gone up perhaps because now all digital flyby wire has created more space And weight options

Maybe. One thing is for sure — it is the first prototype designated 3000. It has a solid yellow nosecone instead of the gray one on 3001.

Even if true this doesn't mean that 400 JF-17 block 3 will be produced. For single-engined fighters, you need to purchase one spare engine for every aircraft you've produced. The maximum number of block 3s even if Pakistan ends up purchasing all 400 engines should be less than 200.

Did we buy rd93s too or were we kept in the loop wrt this development and will replace all with 93MAs ?
And does this mean all Blocks of JF-17 are upgradable to block 3 variant ?
