What's new

JF-17 B receives buy orders even before the maiden flight.

Yes! One is expected to have enough common sense to not walk in a shoe store and ask for ice cream

Which plane carries enough fuel to offer it to others? and have space left to install the buddy fueling system? They have barely enough to do their own assigned tasks
Yes some can, it comes handy if a fighter is coming back from a mission and does not have enough fuel left to get back to its or nearest friendly base..

I know about all of them, my question to you was with regards to the planes used by PAF. Thunder, Mirages and F-7's have hardly enough fuel to do their own thing let alone share it with someone else. F-16's a re a little better but they too don't have enough to share, if they did, they wouldn't need conformal/drop tanks.

Sometimes there is need of dedicated fighters with drop tanks that can save other fighters returning from combat that are short on fuel.. it is possible that any fighter plane with just internal fuel and many fuel drop tanks can do it if it is equipped for the task.. I think PAK should look at the possibility of having a few dedicated fighters of this type, because of speed unlike an air refuling tanker..

The role could have been performed by M-3/5 also F-16 and now JFT with center line drop tank for additional fuel for refueler bird.

Edit.

This is how single engine birds are used for buddy refueling since long so no big deal if PAF choose to add this capability.

Following configuration PAF could use.

I like the idea ... It could give felxibility in wartime but instead of dedicated it should be additional feature ... probably a speacilized fuel tank which can also facilitate buddy refuelling if there is a dire need ....

First bro you do research before you talk their no MIG-29 or its variants in China, so how can China build a copy of MIG-29 which doesn't poses by Chinao_O:what::o:
Hi china is having at least one or more of mig29 but just for evaluation and other ways to
Study the design

I have heard God's eye & infact seen one
Alas in F&F :enjoy:

As far as I know this a forum not a shoe store nor I asked for an Ice cream, I asked a question to chinese guy He replied and I liked his comment and case closed but I do not know why some of you guys who somehow know little bit better than the other on particular issue start jumping up and down where you think you can pick on something ......

with due respect just wanted to share a Chinese proverb a person who ask question is a fool for few minutes , one who does not is a fool for ever

Hi,

It is not about you only---it about this habbit of pakistanis---they walk into a crowded room and without acknowledging how far the discussion has gone---they would want to start all over without realizing and not wanting to realize that others have moved ahead---.

Secondly---they would ask a question without any head or tail to the conversation---and they will act upset if they don't get the right answer---.

Youngman---this is not a high school class---posters are not here to teach you manners of conversation---you are expected to be knowledgeable---you are expected to post relevant material---.

Hi,

Buddy refuelling can be done by a dedicated ' trailing aircraft '.

. . .
Twin seater will do wonders with our Raad Missile we should be able to carry 3 of these with higher profile of the Jet

Hi,

JF17B is too small of an aircraft to carry more than one Raad missile---it is about weight distribution.

That is why a heavier strike aircraft is need that can carry more than one Raad type missile.

.
Actually it comes in more handy at takeoff.

A very large percentage of fuel is used just to get the plane at the desired height.

It is the simplest thing that is right in front of our faces---all the time to increase the flight time.

Top off the tank once you have gained altitutde---thru a refueller or thru a buddy refueller---.

Hi,

Fuel Paf fuel tankers would be done with in the first 72 hours---. Buddy refuellers will survive---.
