All soldiers in the Swedish Army gets trained on what is legal/illegal according to the Conventions.
I assume most professional armies does the same.
Western Armies are prosecuting soldiers found to be vioating the Convention.

I have read up quite a lot on that thank you very much.

Jews entered the Ottoman Empire and when Arabs complained, their complaint were found
to have zero merit. All Jews entering the Ottoman Empire are thus legal immigrants.
British Mandate initially encouraged Jews to enter Palestine, those Jews are there legally.
Then the British Mandate blocked Jews from entering, and there were a number of Jews entering the Mandate
illegally, some with help from british not agreeing with the ban.
Arabs started persecuting Jews already before the ban, in the 1920s.
The situation deteriorated with Irgun and the Stern Gang contributing to the mess.
The British got tired and decided to leave.
The UN then decided that the best solution to the problem was to create two states,
and this was not accepted by the Arabs which invaded.
Israel declared its Independence.
After the armistice, the part of Palestine that remained in Arab hands was annexed by Jordan.
The Jews that entered the Mandate illegally, were accepted as citizens in Israel,
thus making their presence legal.

If You do not accept this, show which law was broken, by any Jew entering the area.
