Jemima Khan to visit Pakistan in 2018

KARACHI: Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Khan is loved by Pakistanis all across the country. She has constantly supported Imran and her name made the headlines again last week while the public was waiting to hear the verdict on the former cricketer.

Now, it has been revealed that she’s coming to Pakistan next year.
Guitarist Salman Ahmed told The Express Tribune that he has invited Jemima to visit Pakistan in 2018. “She has accepted the invitation and will be visiting the country after 15 years,” he said.

This news comes right after he announced that he will be producing a Broadway-style show that will pay tribute to Junoon along with Vital Signs and Nazia and Zoheb.


“I’ve already been in talks with Zoheb, JJ’s sons, Momina Mustehsan, Asim Azhar, Irtaash and a few others. It will showcase the rich musical heritage of Pakistani superstars,” the Sayonee hit-maker had said.

Salman added: I’m also speaking to Ali Azmat, Rohail Hyatt, Brian O’Connell and Shahi Hasan to come together for ‘unity’ and make 2018 a year of celebration. In 2018, I’ll be reaching out to my Junooni friends to spread some ‘Vital Junoon’ for the fans.”

Could this mean that Jemima will be seen alongside them? We can’t wait.

Jemima Khan is what a typical British woman is, big hearted and wonderfully genuine. She gave up a luxurious lifestyle for a Man she fell in love with, left her home to build a home to help a Man fix his own Country. She adapted the culture, accepted the people, weather, food and chose to live a level low to what she was initially used to.

Jemima is Princess Diana’s good friend, Diana who is part of The British Households Royalty, it was through her she made many countless visits to Pakistan. There was no shortage of riches in her life.

Yet despite her conversion, self-sacrifice she was mocked, ridiculed and plastered with ‘Yahoodi Saazish’. She was almost put behind bars WHILST she was expecting her second child over false accusations. She legitimately purchased antiques as a gift for her Mother and an investigation of ‘smuggling’ was launched against her.

Eventually she broke and came back. Between Imran Khan and Jemima Khan there were no issues. It was the mental trauma, continuous harassment, ridicule that tore their relationship apart. He was very dedicated and committed on his political stance in Pakistan and she settled back to her life.

Pakistanis can be very judgemental, overly-suspicious and extremely horrible. I hope she is greeted with love and honour she initially should’ve deserved.
