Japan protests after Chinese navy ship sails near disputed islands

Why do you have to wait? Do your ships have short range or something? Do you expect them to be blown out of the water if you do it today???

We don't want to waste tax payers money for being a wanton trouble maker.

Our focus is firmly fixed on growing China economically and socially.

China is all for construction while the US is all for destruction.

Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia.......

And the whole of Europe

The curse goes on....

Exactly, there is no need to wait. China should do it today, but unfortunately the Chinese president isn't as brave as Putin.

Putin is hardly the first Russian President to send ships or aircraft off our shores. In fact he is rather timid compared to some of the past Russian leaders in the 1960's-mid 1980's.

If I were you, I wouldn't speak so fast.

Give Russia a few more years and with China's economic support, you may be surprise at how big Putin's balls are.

Well he has been in office since 2000 so I guess he likes
to go it super slow.

I think he is a different breed of leader - much more sophisticated than those the US used to compete in good old Cold War years. It seems to me that Putin is more like a smart power leadership; hence all the investment in global information dissemination. Besides, gone are the days of sulky Kremlin officialdom; I guess Putin's cool is infectious.

I agree he is rather incremental; even in Syria to which he involved much later than France, UK, US, etc. Just as we studied USSR to the bone, Mr. Putin seems to have studied it well. In fact, he lived through it.

Yes, he is cautious unless pushed into something. That's why I don't think we need to worry about Putin as much as previous leaders. While he sends out bomber patrols it isn't nearly as often as previous admins. He keeps his Navy in port most of the time. Yes, he is in Syria but hardly on day one.

So if he wants to do some incremental stuff..that's fine..he will just be catching up to the old levels. He certainly is under it.

Lol, that's all they could do.

Speaking of apology, I still insist Japan people apologise for their barbarian behaviour, running our ambassador's sleep! It's anti human rights, which are much more important than Japan.
