you are free to believe whatever you want.........

Gujars make 20% of Pakistan's total population (we are larger in number than Baloch and Sindhis) and we are not the same as you have Hindu Gujjars in Rajasthan. We are Muslims, patriotic Pakistanis, and we are in every field in Pakistan. Go to the northern part of Punjab Province of Pakistan you will see mostly Gujjars. Go to Azad Jammu and Kashmir you will mostly see Gujjars. before 1947 it was very common for a Gujjar Muslim from Punjab to marry a Gujjar Muslim from Kashmir. We are the same tribe, we follow our Religion the same way, and we would never chose Hindus over Muslims.

Given a chance, all Gujjar Muslims of the subcontinent would rather call themselves Pakistanis than Indians. Pakistani, an identity a Muslim Gujjar (Choudhary Rahmat Ali) gave to more than 185 million Pakistanis in the world today.

Because of a Muslim Gujjar we have PAKISTAN and PAKISTANIS today. Do you still think a Muslim Gujar can ever be a patriotic indian. NEVER.

.
Ur wrong.....there are 80% hindu gujjars...
And i guess they will get the job in army..
Army has some reservation mate...

According to the 2001 Census of India, Around 99.3 per cent population of Gujjar and Bakarwal in Jammu & Kashmir follow Islam.

do we really need regiments in the name of sikhs, goorkha, gujjar etc..?

how is armys around the world is structured ?

The man who came up with the word "PAKISTAN" in 1933 and wanted to save every Muslim from hindu domination was also a Gujjar Muslim.

Choudhary Rahmat Ali - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most of Northern part of Punjab Province of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir consist of mostly Gujjar Muslims. We are very patriotic Pakistanis. Before 1947, it was very common for Gujjar Muslims of Kashmir to marry with Gujjar Muslims of Punjab. My grandfather said his uncle (Gujjar Muslim man ffrom Punjab) married a Gujjar Muslim girl from Kashmir. We are the same tribe, we have the same culture, the same history, and most importantly we have the same beliefs.

If the Gujjar Muslims of India Occupied Jammu and Kashmir were given a choice to be part of India or Pakistan, most would chose Pakistan because they would want to be re-united with their people in Northern Punjab (Pakistan) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Most Gujjar Muslims today live in Pakistan.

Why are you derailing the thread with off topic post???????????

What we should do if pakistan also have gujjars?????

Post reported for off topic posts and troll.

Have a referendum, most Gujjar Muslims would chose Pakistan in a heartbeat.

The only Gujjars in The Gujjar Regiment in Indian Army would be Hindu and Sikh Gujjars.

I wonder why they didn't choose Pakistan back in 1947 then. Heartbeat was it?

Go to Azad Jammu and Kashmir you will mostly see Gujjars.

What happened to the Kashmiris?

Not on some silly martial race theory. Surprised that India kept the British relic (not to mention tool of manipulation)

Its not about 'martial race', there is nothing like that but traditional names used from the British era. Though Bengalis are not so called 'martial race' still there was a regiment named after them but later dropped. So its not about 'martial race'.

Jammu & Kashmir was not given a referendum in 1947 therefore its a disputed territory. The people of Jammu and Kashmir (including Gujjar Muslims) are still waiting for their referendum that was promised by your very own Nehru.

1. Gujjars constitutes more then 20% of Jammu & Kashmir's population. :yahoo:

Its not on the basis of some silly theory. The British Indian Army had been in existence for 150 years and it wasn't thought well to break-up the prevalent structure. And how is it a tool for manipulation?

@ Indian Members

We must remember that in every war against pakistan Gujjar and Bakarwal have helped Indian Army in whatever way they can.

1. They have guided Indian Army with local info, routes.

2. Supplied ration and materials etc. etc.

Latest example is the the Kargil where Gujjar and Bakarwal have provided the info about the infiltration from pakistan into India.

Gujjar and Bakarwal India owes you a lot, thank you brothers.

that may be the reason they need a regiment in IA.....

since you are a gujjar .. u really think you can read all others mind.....

Well I guess you should blame the "tribals" of Pakistan for that. If they hadn't attack the independent state of Jammu & Kashmir back then, India would have never stepped in and Jammu Kashmiris wouldn't need a referendum.
