Jakarta 2020 and beyond

Driving from Jakarta to Puncak, Bogor, West Java. Jakartan like to go to Puncak during long holidays and stay the nights at villas or hotels there. The climate is colder than Jakarta.

There is a special school in Jakarta intended for sport talents in Jakarta that is still in studying in junior and high school. They will get scholarship and maybe money to attend the school. Actually all public school in Indonesia has already been free so the reason students enter this school must be all about improving their sport talents and become national athletes and at least professional athletes.

PPOP school (in the past it is called Ragunan school since it is located in Ragunan). It is a boarding school. Due to pandemic, the school is closed since March 2020.

More coverage about this Jakarta athlete school, sport facilities will be coverage as well in this video made by different Youtuber.

I hope more green park is built in Jakarta, it can increase ground water volume (prevent singking problem), prevent flooding, improve air condition, and make the city more beautiful.

Jakarta Governor tries to put small food stalls that will be run by micro businesses around CBD areas.

The journey starts from riding MRT and then visit that food stalls (run by difabel community), and then he finished the trip by going to Jakarta Commuter line train.

Hasyim Ashari Mosque
and the surrounding. The colorful buildings there are apartments for lower income people.

The water for those apartments for lower income people are supplied by the reservoir and also river from nearby place. Jakarta governor inagurate the water treatment facility at that place. Jakarta will try to prevent people to get underground water since it is the main reason of Jakarta sinking problem.

Jakartans long for fresh air as city parks remain closed

Nina A. Loasana (The Jakarta Post) PREMIUM Jakarta ● Tue, May 25, 2021

The Jakarta administration has kept most city parks closed since the beginning of the pandemic, leaving residents with few options to escape the tedium of housebound life under virus restrictions.

Going to a city park at least weekly was once Siti Kuswatun’s first choice for leisure. She could bask in the sun and enjoy relatively fresh air in the midst of the polluted city. But it has been a year since the 26-year-old homemaker has taken a stroll in any of the parks near her house in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

Authorities have justified the widespread park closures since March 2020 by citing fears of overcrowding leading to increased COVID-19 infection. These closures have been prolonged as the city is still recording high virus transmission rates, leaving many Jakartans, including Siti, frustrated at losing an inexpensive way to break up the boredom...
