There are basically two type of food seller/ restaurant that spread quite massive in Indonesia. First is Padang food and it spreads across Indonesia where one of the dishes, Rendang, is regarded by CNN as the best food in the world. Mostly owned by Minang ethnic businessmen.

Second is Warteg (Warung Tegal (Tegal Shop), but it is more within Java and Madura islands. Mostly they are owned by Javanese from Tegal and some Betawi (for Jakarta region only) also do this business.

Warteg is regarded as the cheapest and usually the place is small, people in indonesia never call the place as restaurant since the building is quite simple and call it as warung (small shop).

Here there is Warteg who target middle class people and has big and unique building in Bogor while in the second story show the general look of Warteg.

They are many in Jakarta and across Java island

Non Indonesian I believe dont know the fact that in Jakarta there is still paddy field. The location is in North Jakarta, but since 2018 Jakarta Government has bought around 26 hectare of that land. It will be transformed into grave yard and Today it is used only for Covid 19 victims.

This is the news 8 months ago and you can still see some paddy fields were still exist. North Jakarta is near the coast area, so basically it is good to use it as a grave yard, it will make North Jakarta can store more water from rain in order to prevent sinking problem where North Jakarta has the worst of it.

Jakarta has its birthday couple days ago and the city age now is 494 years. It is built by Indonesian people before it is taken by Dutch through war. Jakarta first name is Sunda Kelapa and then Jayakarta. During Dutch rule the name is changed into Batavia.

Jakarta has 85 malls and 48 museums. This video also revealed that all Jakartan people being interviewed dont know the exact number of malls and museums in Jakarta.

Water is good and we have many rivers that go inside Jakarta. Many rivers that go through Jakarta also the main reason we are going to have flooding if huge rain comes, but the affected region is the ones near the river flow only.

Basically there is no problem in water but because almost all Jakartan use ground water instead of pipe water, we face sinking problem.

The decrease of ground water make the soil go down. Similar problem also faced by Tokyo in the past, but Tokyo now has solved the problem by forcing the people use pipe water (tap water).

This problem should be solved fast by increasing the pipe water infrastructure since the problem now is that we dont have enough water coming from the pipe water ( the pressure is also low ).

I still see both central government and Jakarta administration still dont see it as very urgent problem despite many international and national media raise the issue.

Jakarta will have election again in 2023, so I believe any candidate should prepare comprehensive plan to improve our pipe water infrastructure, including to add the water supply.

From what I know, the water supply problem can be solved if we make huge dam in Jakarta satellite cities (which still has huge land) and use the water for Jakarta pipe water

This Korean couple once again visited Bogor, a city next to Jakarta, before Jakarta imposes the Lock Down measure. It takes them 1 1/2 hours from their home in Jakarta into Cibinong Botanical Garden (part of Bogor). Actually it is new for me that there is Cibinong Botanical Garden. So Bogor has 2 botanical garden which is Bogor Botanical Garden (more famous and well known) and Cibinong Botanical Garden.

The Korean look like dont know that there is large forest near Jakarta. It is in Depok, in University of Indonesia complex. Depok is another Jakarta satellite cities, Depok is closer than Bogor from Jakarta, it can be said it has been integrated with South Jakarta.

For Medical Faculty, they still maintain the original building in Salemba, East Jakarta, it is because that is the location of RSCM (Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital), state own hospital. Medical students need hospital for practice and study.

Jakarta looks so densely populated, just compare with football field in Malang, East Java where the population is not as dense as Jakarta

While playing in football stadium and indoor basketball halls are more expensive. Indorbasketball hall is actually quite affordable but more expensive than outdoor fields.
