Jakarta local government keep improving the reservoir and try to manage river overflow that usually happen during heavy and long rain. There are many rivers coming from West Java to Jakarta that cause flooding in area near some river.

The area has highly density and less green compared to South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and Central Jakarta. There is one airport as well in this area and used by both Air Force and domestic civilian flight. There is LRT infrastructure that is not yet finished

East Jakarta still has enough land to be built but I hope the land should be bought by local government and make it green park. Kuala Lumpur and Hongkong has large city forest for example.

Despite so, Jokowi lives in other Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java. This is much bigger than the one in Jakarta.

South Jakarta

There is a special school in Jakarta intended for sport talents in Jakarta that is still in studying in junior and high school. They will get scholarship and maybe money to attend the school. Actually all public school in Indonesia has already been free so the reason students enter this school must be all about improving their sport talents and become national athletes and at least professional athletes.

PPOP school (in the past it is called Ragunan school since it is located in Ragunan). It is a boarding school. Due to pandemic, the school is closed since March 2020.

East Jakarta

Cipayung Resorvoir

Jakarta sinking problem is due to ground water sucking up by house hold, so to solve the problem Jakarta local government is improving its water pipe supply, improving the water quality of river used for pipe water and fixing the broken underground pipe.

Other measure being taken is making more reservoir and digging and enlarge the current ones, making more green parks, and also channeling big river into Jakarta Flood Canal system (West and East Flood Canal)

North Jakarta

This is the region near the coast area where the sinking problem happen. One measure taken by Jakarta administration is to build new reservoir that is intended to manage the water flow thus solve two problem which are flooding and also to increase the ground water level. The sinking problem that mostly happening in North Jakarta is due to decrease of ground water due to house hold and businesses needs.

Other measure to increase the coverage of pipe water (tap water) is being worked with target to have 100 % coverage so that house holds and businesses dont have to get the water from underground water anymore.

As far as I know there are at least thwo new and big reservoir project going on in North Jakarta currently. North Jakarta is a densely populated region where few green parks are seen, no wonder sinking problem happens.

Another reservoir digging to make the city has more capability to retain water and increase ground water level.

One of Indonesian TV News make a program about Jakarta in 2019. The presenter starts from Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, uses MRT and goes to Old City (Kota Tua), Central Jakarta, and then go to Ancol, North Jakarta and ride a bicyle in Beach Walk. After that she went to Muara Baru, North Jakarta, buying fish in Muara Baru modern fish market and then went to second floor of the market where there is food courts and the the fish will be cleaned and roasted there and ready to be eaten.

This is Pelataran park in Sudirman CBD (Central Business District). People like to be there during wekend or holidays. This is more like picnic and there are also several hotels near it like Ritz Carlton in CBD and Century Athlete hotel in Senayan. The location is near GBK (Gelora Bung Karno) sport center.

From the video he started from South Jakarta, Simatupang road, Cilandak, and go straight into Central Jakarta. After that he start from North Jakarta and go to Central Jakarta. The video is more about getting to Jakarta Central Businesses District (CBD) that is located in Central Jakarta from multiple routes.

Sudirman CBD

This is Pelataran park in Sudirman CBD (Central Business District). People like to be there during wekend or holidays. This is more like picnic and there are also several hotels near it like Ritz Carlton in CBD and Century Athlete hotel in Senayan. The location is near GBK (Gelora Bung Karno) sport center.

There is a restaurant and room for events ( for small wedding and other events) on the park and also of course toilet and a small mosque (Musholla) to undergo 5 times prayer for Muslim, so people visiting the place pretty much feel comfortable.
