Jagmeet Singh, Trudeau's biggest political rival, could mean bad news for India

Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Mysore, Hyderabad, Goa, NE India all needs independence from the oppressive Hindutva oppression.
Similarly Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong, Macau, Guangxi, Ningxia will free from evil CCP regimes.

On topic.
Sikh guy won't make any difference in India. Khalistan is a lost cause which lost momentum in India. Now what, Sikh's who are not even Indian can do? By winning election in Canada can Jagmeet Singh kick start a dead movement?

Jagmeet Singh becoming PM of Canada is a wet dream for certain Pakistanis on PDF. If Jagmeet is keen on protecting Canada's interests, he will not rock the boat with India. As for the Khalistan movement, it's been dead for a long time. The fiercest proponents of Khalistan have all fled, living in exile.

Jagmeet Singh has been actively involved in criticizing Indian government and has talked about the issues related to the 1984 Sikh riots. In 2016, he called the 1984 riots, "genocide".

In an official statement on the occasion of Operation Blue Star's anniversary, he said, "The government of India initiated a genocidal campaign against the Sikh minority".

"The Indian military killed thousands of innocent people in just one day. This genocide continued for the next twenty years. Across Punjab, Sikh youth disappeared, torture was rampant, and Sikhs endured relentless state-sanctioned terrorism."

It is like I hate Germany/ns because they are Nazis. What ever so-called genocide,Khalistani $#it and atrocities on Sikhs everything was happend in CONgress rule and by Congress men.

What if this guy becomes the PM of Canada, "persona non grata" declared by India. Would India eat its own sh|t to receive him if there are any bilateral visits?

.
NDP is a joke. Never better than third place. And even if by some miracle they do head Canada's government, I doubt Khalistan is their number one priority regardless if the PM is pro-Khalistan. So everybody, please don't get too excited.
Actually, they cam second 2 elections ago. They only lost because Jack Layton died, and was replaced by someone less charismatic.

Jagmeet will likely, at the very least, put the NDP at 2nd place again.

Western nations have had to remove Modi from ban lists, when he became PM, so I imagine that India would have to reciprocate.

Modi has internal issues, however, in this case, the guy is direct support of Khalistan, a breakway movement in India. I am sure you can understand the differences and pain India would be in if situation arise.

If they ban him over something as simple as advocating genocide recognition, then I wouldn't be surprised if Canada takes up the Sikh issue on an international stage like UN.

Its like BramDOG Bugti becomes the PM of Canada. Hope this example will make things clear to gullible kind, both Pakistanis and Indians on this forum.

Not really, Bramadog is actively involved and conspiring with designated terrorist organisations.

This guy simply speaks about injustices Sikhs faced after 1984, its a huge difference.

Its more like if Asma Jahangir became PM, do you think Pakistan would ban her?

I am talking from Indian perspective.

Is it that different in principle? Besides, he'd be representing Canada, so India would have little choice in the matter, and would come off as being petty, if it continued to ban him.

Jagmeet as PM of Canada, would have to set aside his personal opinion on Khalistan, and put Canada's interests first.

Either way, I'm voting for him, as I've always supported ndp. I'd vote for him, even if he was pro-India.

Ofcourse it is complete different situation.

Think of it as Bramadag Bugti becomes the PM of Canada. Do I have to tell you the implications?

These things do matter. It wont be hunky dory between India and Canada afterwards.

Bugti would still have to put Canada's interests first, so I maintain my position. There is mechanisms in place to remove sitting prime ministers, if it seems that their actions are contrary to the interest of the nation; basically, conflict of interests.

He can serve Canada interests while dealing with India in his own narrative. Not a big deal. To say the change of command at the top will not have any effect, is quite childish assumption.
