What's new

J15 - in flight.

Seriously, this J-15, though necessary for Varyag for the time being, is in fact a disgrace IMO.

China should give SAC a tight time frame to chunk out sth decent or let it go bust.

Too many political deals for SAC have made'em lazy on top of being stupid. It's too bad for the aviation industry.

What SAC has come out with all these years other than some SU variants, being an int'l laughing stock?

Everything in its pipeline, J-19 or whatever, is just another Su cousin without a proper licence. Such a bunch of low IQ ar#$!

In order to prevent CAC monoplying the mkt, China should set up another Center of Excellence, in

Nanjing or Qiandao/Shangdong for example, to compete with CAC.

China's packed with high IQ , over-educated and ambitious young men. Give them SAC's

funding instead to have a go, and let SAC go SUCK civilian trucks of dog sh!t for god's sake.

At least better than Koreans, who laughably claim that they have a leading aerospace industry yet can only manage to produce 40% of F-16 copies and a low tech trainer aircraft! Being even able to copy Su-30 makes SAC 2.5 times as good as the best aerospace corporations in Korea.

Don't compare with Koreans, who are Mr. Nobody in the field, and in most fields.

Go compare with USA.

Plus, Korea doesn't have world's 2nd or 3rd largest (similar to Russia's , after the US) wind turnnel;

Korea doesn't have world's fastest supercomputer;

Korea doesn't have world's largest concentration of high IQ pool;

Korea doesn't have world's largest overseas Docs & post Docs # in Science, Maths & Engineering;

Koeans don't usually get world's top prizes in Science, Maths or Engineering competitions;

Korea doesn't have world's largest stock pile of foreign reserves;

...

With those, how hard it would be to have a decent indigenous design other than another Su copy ???!!!

Yeah I know that it's not a copy but an improved version, but still.

Gosh, if Ruskies, or Koreans, got all of above as China does, they would have probably test flied Su-300 by now!

.

There's something very wrong with this SAC thing, don't you agree ?

.

I dunno which Province is within top 5, or top 8, achievers of China's national unversity entrance exam,

but just disband SAC and reward the project to anyone of those 5. It would definitely do a much better job.

Well, aerospace is a systems engineering problem, which requires huge investments and time. Improving proven planes is the safest bet. You always want a safety project, and a "risky" project. CAC does risky things with revolutionary designs; SAC does safe proven things.

Better than Koreans and Jap anese who do things "proven" by their white masters.

That's just an exucse for SAC.

A "safe" project doesn't by default mean a "copied" project.

SAC is coping as if there were no tomorrow. it's not "safe", but outright dangerous , unnecessary AND disgraceful.

LOL...what the Koreans do have is lots of hot import car models! :yahoo:

Korea has the highest concentration of a-holes.
When will WS-10 be reliable enough for single-engine/naval applications?

Everything is on a comparative basis. Only by comparing you'll have progress.

But when you compare , do compare with the top guy, not other way around.

Imagine if there were no CAC, SAC would look impressive;

Now imagine if there were a new company based in a better Province, say JAC ( Jiangsu province? ) or FAC :P ( Fujian province? ), it would probably make CAC and its J-20 look stupid somewhere down the line.

Yet with SAC that never would happen.

SAC has been sitting its fat ar@$ on the govt dole for what, 1 decade at least, on the learning curve?

Yet it still can't put its acts together.

This shows 1 thing and 1 thing only :

The Pig can't fly, "safe project" or not!

It not only can't fly , but also is detrimental to China's aviation industry since it occupy a key bandwidth & wastes vital resources as a result

If it were still 90s, it'd be oke. Now we're in 2010! India's EF or Rafale will soon put China into a direct test of confronting the EU tech.

What I hope is that some new company will be given a chance on the expanses of SAC, then we as fans could probably see J-30 or J-40 come into being all of a sudden in the coming years due to more effective competitions, instead of another Flying Su Shark.

Taiwan will allow C919 & ARJ21 operate off Taiwanese airports on a regular basis, but not Russian junks.
