Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district

SRINAGAR:
HIGHLIGHTS
  1. 2 soldiers killed in Pak firing in KG Sector of Jammu and Kashmir
  2. Pak resorting to unprovoked firing, Indian army retaliating: Official
  3. Pak has violated ceasefire 60 times since India's surgical strikes

As Pakistan violated ceasefire again to facilitate infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir -- in which two soldiers died and two others were injured - Union home minister Rajnath Singh sounded a warning to the neighbouring country, saying "look us in the eye and fight us. We will emerge victorious".

In a reference to the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian army in September 29, the home minister said, "Now you must have understood... not only can we fight you in our backyard, we have also gone into your home's and defeated you."

The Pakistani army had opened fire in a bid to facilitate two infiltration bids along the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati and Poonch sectors of Poonch district, the army had said. The infiltration bids were foiled and the army has also inflicted heavy damage to several Pakistani posts across the Line of Control in Poonch sector, the army had added. Three civilians - two of them women - have also been injured in the shelling.

"One soldier was killed in Krishna Ghati sector earlier in the day while foiling infiltration bids, another soldier was killed and two others were injured in cross-border firing in the Poonch sector," a senior army officer said.

Security forces had also stopped two infiltration attempts by terrorists in the area since Saturday night. Army spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said Pakistani forces provided cover fire for the second attempt.

"We are giving a fitting response. Will hit them where it hurts the most. It is very unprofessional act of the Pakistan army to target our residential areas," he said.

At least four places came under indiscriminate shelling and firing which has started at 8:40 a.m. targeting civil and defence facilities in the area, a police official said.

In last two weeks, eight soldiers have been killed in Pakistani firing. Eight civilians were killed in firing by Pakistan across the International Border and Line of Control last week.

Since India's surgical strikes on staging areas for terrorists in Azad Kashmir on September 29, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire more than 60 times firing at Indian military posts and villages.

Indian forces have said they have responded to the firing with appropriate force killing dozens of Pakistani troops.

No now I am waiting for the claim of 50 Pakistani soldiers. They have also claimed 40 few days ago so waiting for a bigger claim. @nair @MilSpec
hollywood style action like previous story they gave.
they said we wanted to avenge our soldier. our mortor fire became precise that day like cruise missle. we hit them from all sides. the precise mortor fire was not able to destroy the hanuman posts so we used rocket propelled nuclear bombs to level the posts. as levelling post don't kill any one so we fired at the level posts to inflict casualities.

three days later the same story became even more interesting.
we moved our heavy artlillary to the LOC so that we may hit the target inside Azad Kashmir (as artillary range is just 500 m). we did it to avenge our dead soldier who was beheaded. we fired heavy shells and destroyed company HQ of pakistan army.

Hey did PAF acknowledge what happened to the JF-17 pilot yet? Just asking... Since you seem to think all information is out in the open for Pakistani citizens.

P.S: Sorry for citing an unfortunate incident, but tired of the slander in this forum. Patriotism is good, but blind patriotism is stupid. This applies to all the Indian fanboys too. Learn to respect people even if its an online platform, no place for hate in such a short life.

Good Day!

Casualties are common on both sides when there is exchange of fire of any caliber.
Its not possible PA has not suffered any deaths during ongoing skirmishes, ironically they believe in wrapping up such news to keep the hollow moral high. Just like in Kargil war they kept denying and denying of deaths of their hundreds of regular until the issue got imploded and ordure got surfaced. Even in 1971, Pakistani news papers & Army, till 16 Dec were clamming huge wins on grounds and predicted victory in few days.

Keep your eyes ears close, deny everything and dont accept the reality untill all of sudden you fall flat on your hollow ground = Pakistani logic

We have lost civilians not soldiers. Your soldiers are dying mostly due to sniper fire.

indian meedia will kill atleast 20 pakistani soldiers. he will be revenged by arnab goswami.

And Pakistan army will again claim not even a single Indian bullet were able to scratch Pakistani soldiers, but somehow dozens of Pakistani civilians have died/injured.

Pakistani's are born super humans and their soldeirs are even more so. Remember one of their soldier is equal to a thousand of ours theory? There would always be no casualities on their end, just like their claims in Kargil. We will need to wait for another 20 yrs for Pakistan to declare a military medal for their officially denied or non existant martyrs. Until then no surgical strikes happed, no posts destroyed, no cross fire deaths, very peaceful country.

11 to 12 Indian soldier are killed in total ( 2016 border confrontation ) For the Indians who are saying that Pakistan is hiding casualties ,
50 -60 % of these Indian soldiers are killed by sniper fire by Pak army according to Indian news . Pakistan is trying to minimize the civilian casualties on the Indian side by using sniper riffles on the other hand India is using mortars etc
