PAF said it yesterday and is saying it today,budget,it gets a small share from 9billion$,in that operating such a fleet is remarkable,we cannot afford newer aircraft and will not in a coming decade or so.Your vision is commendable but what you are saying about the chief selector is not right,what they are doing is what no other air force has been able to do,marines have 4 times the budget of Pak military but do you think they stand a chance against us?
PAF operates 450+ Fighters in that shit of a budget and is making aircraft for itself too is something not less than a miracle.

And yes you are right---they are doing what no other air force has done---that is---keep on looking for sanctioned prone aircraft---and not availing the opportunity to purchase at the right time---.

The real issue is not of F16 in India, but why lockhead Martin beg to India for her assets and production in India?
If F16 production begin in India after 10,15 years who will buy that scrape from India while the world will enjoy 6th and 7th generation air crafts.

Hi,

In technical terms---a lack of diversification means DEATH of the system. We already saw the death of the system---with 10 years sanctions---we are seeing the first signs of second death to the system---a talk of sanctions.

In military how do you fix this problem---specially for a country like pakistan---. Russians---chinese and north koreans have always had great solutions---executions by a firing squad---and when you include the family as well---it makes the generals do great things with the given resources.

War is at our doorsteps and P.A.F don't seems to be giving an iota of shi-t----- so the only viable option left for my generation is to laugh at this situation as much as we can

That was a sarcastic take on the comment made by that person. 6th Gen is not coming for another 20-25 years. no body even knows what a 6th Gen plane will look like/ will have.

The only plan on horizon is to get more older F-16 and MLU.

Even the only country with functional 5th generation fighters has no plan to retire 4++ fighters in next 10 years. They are giving new systems to their F-16s and F-15s.

Even though PAF have rejected J-10 over JF-17 block 3, Chinese are still hopefull that Pakistan will place an order of 40 J-10c. These will cost Pakistan 65 million each.
This one of the reason PAF are not happy with Chinese slow progress on JF-17 block 3 and considering to become a partner in Turkish 5th gen fighter program.

No way that PAF will join TFX in future, its in a initial design phase and mass produce will in 2028 2030, it is better for PAF to invest J-31 or single engine variants of J-20, which is mass produce in 2023 2025
