Italian Defence minister calls on his Pakistani counterpart

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the global economy vs Pakistan, between now and 2050/2099. I've been finding quite a few surprises, as well as confirmations of what I already knew.

I'm debating whether I should make a proper report, and release my findings, or just leave it and see what happens.
@That Guy releasing it in a report will be like sending invitation to trolls, but still, that should not be something that holds you back. Perhaps it will be best if you can discuss in private with a few members that you think can help, get them on board and then go ahead with the post. With them on your side you wont be fighting off those troll alone. :)

The topic sure looks interesting.

Indeed. The MODP himself stated that it was his intention to make the defence industry more self-sufficient and less dependent on government subsidies. Getting POF roped into a commercial offset agreement with any of the big gun manufacturers, be it Beretta or some other vendor, should be on the docket.
Exactly, this is exactly what I mean when I say that the performance won’t be the ONLY thing that will be evaluated. It is a business deal and there are so many other factors that are to be considered. Especially considering that performance wise ARX, CZ BERN, FN SCAR or HK 416 will all get the job done and will all do so with great efficiency and effectiveness the end decisions will all come down to the business proposal as a whole. What will we like more than to be the registered manufacturer/supplier of one of those big gun manufacturers? We see that the MP5 still earns us some precious dollars, consider any of the four mentioned guns doing that and that too not only for civilians but even for armies (we are talking about prospects right)

An objective report would never hurt.
It'll probably take a few weeks to write and compile. I'll probably tag you first, if I decide to publish it on here.

That's if I decide to release it.

I've had to redo a lot of the math, because I got some things wrong, so I don't know if I'll finish before I get bored.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Arsalan

I will say this though; for the next 3ish decades, as compared to India, things don't look great for Pakistan. The Pakistani government will have a lot to deal with, if the economy doesn't pick up. If Pakistan can manage until 2049 (when China's lease on Gwadar expires), things should improve significantly after that.

An interesting thing to consider is ... while the Pakistan Army itself may take 10, 20 or even 50 years to replace its rifles, POF could proceed ahead and actually compete in the market with constantly updated designs. This way, POF is not short of work (due to a lack of domestic demand), and with a modern competitive design, it can pull in positive foreign exchange flows.

I agree ... but I'd add that Pakistan is a dark horse. The unstable political cycle, increasing awareness in the middle class of the corruption in society, and a desire (albeit painfully slow) for real change could result in a competent leadership establishment well before then. This is where (IMO) the whole "frontier market" or "potential" talk comes into play. No one (not even China) is investing in the Pakistan of today, they're betting on a Pakistani that may or may not emerge. Countries do see shifts in leadership establishments, it can happen, and the raw potential in Pakistan is something a proper leadership can and will exploit very quickly.

Interesting, Pakistan & Italy are up to something, hopefully its going to be good news for Pakistan.

Italy is upgrading POF for us also we are seriously interested in ASTER Air Defence Systems and I also ready about Frigates some where can't remember exactly where. As for ARX 200 well could be and could be not. But I think more chances are of Air Defence systems
