What's the difference between GSLV MK-IV and RLV-TSTO and LVM3?
someone plz enlighten in terms of difference in thrust or capability difference etc !! Thanks.

gslv mk4 will be gslv with 2 more boosters added to it.

rlv tsto is a space shuttle, tsto means two stage to orbit. first stage will be rocket booster, second will be the shuttle itself. it wil be launched by 2014.

lvm 3 is just another name of the gslv rocket i guess.

RLV TSTO is not space shuttle as commonly referred to in media. As shown in the figure, TSTOs first stage will be derived from upper stage of RLV-TD that looks like a mini space shuttle. The upper stage of TSTO will be derived from technologies developed in SRE experiments.

Why are we wasting money on this when India has more mal nutrition than sub saharan Africa.
This money could feed entire India nice.
There... I said it before anyone else did

You forgot about the toilets, Oppression of Muslims (esp Kashmiri Musalmaans), Dalits, Female infanticide, Maoists insurgencies etc.,
That will be a complete List.:devil:

It's tipped to be India's heaviest rocket till date weighing 640 tons, it's also taken 10 years to develop and will hopefully launch Indian astronauts into space. That's the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) designed and developed GSLV MK3 that has cost Rs. 2500 crores and will put India on the multimillion dollar commercial launch market.

This is what that was written bellow the video :victory:

thanks for the info but isnt rlv td a true reusable space shuttle. because it has its landing experiment just like the american space shuttle. so u mean rlv td and rlv tsto are different things under same project???

RLV TSTO will be based on technologies developed in RLV TD experiments, more specifically the winged vehicle (media calls it space shuttle). The winged vehicle/space plane (like X 37) will form the first stage of RLV TSTO. For LEO injections, winged vehicle will be sufficient to lift 10 T cargo. For GTO injections, a second stage will be employed on top of winged vehicle to inject 10 T cargo.

We can call it a unmanned space shuttle for LEO injections.

Dude, is that for real!! @00:31-00:37 << Monster

Make Indians proud ISRO!

Mate, what if I tell you that there are 2 other rockets planned to be fully operational by 2020-2025 time frame?
Crew Launch Vehicle
* Architecture - 4 S230 + SC500 + C60
* Capability - 31 tons to Low Earth Orbit
* Payload - Crew Module (6 tons) + Service Module (25 tons)

Carge Launch Vehicle
* Architecture - 8 S230 + SC800 + C60
* Capability - 84 tons to Low Earth Orbit
* Payload - Earth Departure Stage (67 tons) + Lunar Descent Module (17 tons)

The only holding thing about these rockets is the semi-cryo engine which is still under development. SC=2000KN thrust :D

since ISRO will be going after UMLV, as you see from the specs that its just the addition of extra boosters and a extra propellant for SC stage.

SC500----->semi-cryo with 500tonne propellant.

SC800----->semi-cryo with 800tonne propellant.

S230-------> modified S200 of GSLV-MKIII with 230tonne propellant.

IF one look at the SLV of India,

GSLV-MKII --->CUS12 cryo upperstage with 12 tonne propellant

GSLV-MKIII---->CUS25 with 25 tonne propellant

UMLV? ------>CUS60 with 60 tonne propellant

There is some interesting aspect with GSLV-MKIII and future UMLV`s

both can be modified with the addition of extra boosters for extra payload capability

There was something called GSLV-MKIV with 4 S200 boosters. This increases the payload to 6+tons to GEO while MKIII has 4+tons.

And to add extra whip cream to the already sweetened hot chocolate, here is the final and ultimate SLV of all which is termed as heavy lift vehicle with a capability to carry 20t to moon(lunar circular orbit).

And guess what, it supersedes the UMLV-MKII by 20t to LEO(low earth orbit).

HLV carries a monstrous payload of 100t to LEO :D

But again,all these designs are totally dependent on the end result of semi-cryo.
HLV is an all SC stage+ CUS.

In total it got 5SC engines :D
Take a peek into the below presentation by ISRO :)

if you travel form NH4 to Old Airport Road via SURANJANDAS Road you get to see the mock model of all these rockets it was there for almost year and half and in that there is a mkIII model

but the if its just for lifting into space why r they showing landing experiments. they dont need it. only a true space shuttle has to land.
