Isro successfully tests indigenous cryogenic engine

(flight on 15th april 2010) - indian cryogenic engine failed due to problems in turbo booster pumps. this failure occured at 3rd stage and the first 2 stages were successful.

(flight on 25th dec 2010)- it was in this launch that the german made connectors snapped leading to failure in the first stage itself and the rocket had to be destroyed in mid air. this flight was carrying russian cryogenic engine which never got a chance to ignite as the problem occured in first stage itself.

my point is that some of the members were mixing the reasons of failures of 2 incidents , they listed reasons of failure of the 25 th dec flight in the case of the flight of 15th april. i was just trying to clear the confusion.

i hope u are not thinking that i am claiming the russian engine to be superior, i know it is far from reliable as there have been failures earlier too.

Even you you were, its ok to claim that Russian engines are superior to Indian ones. Because India never made a successful flight with its indigenous cryogenic engine. And Russia had. But alas, you were also not making such a claim except stating a fact, but which implied the claim.

As far as I know, the Chandrayaan-2, along with the Indian-built rover, is also
touted to carry a Russian Lander to the surface of the moon:victory:

Indo-Russian cooperation should increase manifold, this will be sort of a milestone space mission
as both countries' payloads will be carried to the moon and deployed by the probe launched
from an Indian rocket for the first time:)
