This is starting to become common, some few Pakistanis and some few Indians want to mimic Israel. They also praise Israeli leaders and wish their leaders were like them. I don't get this at all...it's like they don't respect their own nations as if their people are fodder.

This is very true. In fact if we look at the demographics of American Jews, the fact is that they are undergoing mass assimilation. Meaning Judaism is less important to them, and they see Israel not as a place that protects Jewry. But the opposite, they increasingly view Israel as a MENACE to Jewry.
Israels main supports are generally older people, whom are rather tribal. As opposed to the new generation which is much more liberal.
There is another development taking place on the ground. The state of Israel is getting more fanatical.
No one could have imagined that a pig like Sharon, Netanayhu or Lieberman (digusting neo-fascist) ever could risen to political power. This is actually quite alarming and says a lot about the direction Israeli society is taking. Israel is getting more and more right-wing, and racist. Its also getting more fanatical religiously, because of the insane birth rate of the ultra orthodox (fundementalists seeking to impose Jewish Sharia on the rest)
