Would it even matter. They don't have the depth to allow the rockets/missiles to gather speed before Iron Dome engagement. They need to go for cheaper low-cost large volume rockets in order to poke holes for heavy rockets to burst through.

Hamas is getting a lot of international pressure behind the doors, and lots of threats forwarded to them. The truth is they don't want a war, most of the firing is done by other groups and limited to the Gaza vicinity towns. They could certainly increase firepower but they're uncertain of political situation at the moment. This falls on the politicians who did not plan well for this and giving mixed messages to military arms. If Israeli operation becomes official than they need to increase firepower.

Doubt it, there are heavier missiles but are not proven yet. The Iron Dome will be overwhelmed in Ashkelon and Sderot pretty soon so they should continue concentrating fire power to cause material damage and casualties. They can do this within a day or two once given the green light....

They're testing the waters, in the near future we might be unfortunate to see Al-Aqsa demolished, the Israeli's have been busy digging tunnels under the mosque to weaken the foundation since occupation.. You do know there is an Islamist party in Israel that was about to form govt coalition which would have ousted sitting PM Nutunyahoo? It's leader Mahmood Abbas was about to meet with other parties to form the govt but because of current events, this coalition is now on hold. Who is to gain from all this? Pm Nutunyahoo who is announcing election after election but not allowing any govt to be formed in Israel since 2019.

Temple mount is controlled by Waqf, Israel is not allowed even to check the worshipers who come there. They bring stones and fireworks freely.

3 years ago Israel wanted to install metal detectors at entrance and in caused big riots.
