Israel: Desert into Farmland

Saudi Arabia is even more impressive. They have the largest and most advanced desalination plants in the world and have turned areas several times the size of Israel into fertile farmland. Which can be seen from space as well.

Becoming almost self-sufficient in most agricultural corps in the process.

Now they are planning to plant 10 billion trees in KSA.

KSA is also 100 times larger than Israel.
Saudi Arabia just purchases services and equipment from other countries, nothing they've done on their own.
But good for them.

Not exactly. Almost all of it is run by locals today and local firms. Of course they did not invent the technology (desalination of seawater) but I doubt (without investigating it) that Israel invented it either.

I am just saying that Israel is far from unique on this front and that many countries, KSA in particular, have done what Israel is doing on a much larger scale.

The Chinese are another good example.

Of course, unlike Israel, KSA also has very large mountanious and fertile areas but most of KSA is arid mountanious terrain, desert and steppe like landscape. Not to forget the difference in size. Easier to combat desertification in a country like Israel that is 100 times smaller.

Won't it take decades to make all that part of the country green?

It will take a long time for the ground to turn fertile again. It will be a long process. Firstly when trees are planted they create shadow and help lower the temperature and increase humidity. Afterwards the waste that such organisms (plants and trees) produce will help the soil in terms of nutrients and it is basically what they are doing everywhere in arid countries.

What also helps KSA is that they have huge groundwater reserves. This is due to KSA many milenia ago having huge areas of very fertile lands, some of the largest rivers in the region and freshwater lakes. Plus half of KSA is mountanious terrain.

This is why KSA has no permanent rivers that flow throughout the entire year but they have some of the largest concentrations of wadis (non-permanent rivers) in the region and world. Which is why they turn into rivers when it floods/rains and why you often hear about floods killing people in KSA which is a surprise for many people that don't know the country.

Great read here:

BTW, I once visited the largest olive grove in the world which is located in Northern KSA (Sakaka). The area does not get a lot of rain throughout the year but they have been blessed with very large groundwater reserves.

All your links are just date back from 2019, did you even have any tech before this date before you steal (learn) from China?

Come out of the box you live in. not everything is propaganda. they are actually performing.
Go to Israel and check out yourself.
Seriously dude enough with this palestine bs they dont want to sit together themselves and here we are fighting on their sides. What has palestine or israel done for pakistan. Why should pakistan care.
Its a doggy dog world out there. No one cares about anyone.
When the People’s Republic of China was formed and Pakistan became among the first few countries to recognize China, China hadn’t done any special favors for Pakistan at the time, but see how the country’s strong principles help it in the long run
