Israel won't be really happy about this bridge , lol. Saudi Arabia have helped Egypt economically a lot, despide what a lot of people think. The numbers of Egyptians who work in SA helps as well... My only problem with Saudi Arabia is that it supports the Salafis groups in Egypt, and they are not really nice or smart people to support that much. But, i was reading the other day that a Saudi Prince was saying that the Saudi government doesn't support any Salafi groups inside or outside Egypt, its the Salafis themselves who support eachothers. He said that Saudi Arabia itself suffers from those Salafis groups.

Yeah. We stopped all this religious hogwash a decade ago. We are finally a country that is looking through country lenses. Our priorities are clear to anyone who uses his head:

Q:What is the number one priority for KSA??
A:improve the economy and diversify from Oil. How is that being implemented?
A2:Support Educations and change the old mindset of people to a form a more productive society to contribute to the economy.

In other words these whole social and political reform happening in the country are for first and foremost "Support the economy". And you can't have that with ultra-religious people and the government realizes that. Saudi Arabia does not support anyone or anything anymore based on religious grounds we are only looking after our economy. We will support a government that will be more open to business with us than anyone else. Of course people don't see it yet and I don't expect people to see these realities any time soon but that is how it is. From 1991 to 2002 our GDP was 15% of our total debt mainly to the US you can imagine how dangerous this was and how much we learned from this experience. Now the US "OWES" money to KSA not the other way around the second largest foreign debt holder of US is KSA after China.

Saudi's are suffering from their own creation. at the time they have used many radicals to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan Wahabism Vs Communism.

No Samson option, they are as coward as it gets. They act tough now since they hold an advatage over us, thats all. Their histroy, even current actions shows how coward they are. Also, in the quran it tells how they will act in those situations, i posted it earlier.
Quran Surat 59:14. They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom.

Quran Surat 2:94. Say: "If the last Home, with Allah, be for you specially, and not for anyone else, then seek ye for death, if ye are sincere."
95. But they will never seek for death, on account of the (sins) which their hands have sent on before them. and Allah is well-acquainted with the wrong-doers.
96. Thou wilt indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of life,-even more than the idolaters: Each one of them wishes He could be given a life of a thousand years: But the grant of such life will not save him from (due) punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do.

Current Salafis=Wahabis. But since all Muslims are Salafis, we call them Wahabis. Wahabis are the ultra-conservative Salafis, who follow same teaching of the ultra-conservative Muhamed Ibn Abd El Wahab. So, instead of insulting all Salafis, we call the retard ones Wahabis just for the sake of respect for the Salaf.

Saudi's certainly had some Average Dogfights against Iraq, however Iraqi's had older planes and were exhausted from the war with Iran.

I don't underestimate them, but they are cowards and they would never kill themselves. Will they fight hard ? Sure. Will they kill themselves if they were about to lose a war and nuke the whole area including themselves ? Hell no.

Also the way of air war is different. Right now in air to air Israel is betting on it's superior A2A missiles. Israeli A2A missiles are superior in every way than their American counter parts. Did you know that Israel even refuses to give the Python family technology to the US for fear it will be sold to Arab countries? If it came to A2A and I had a choice between AMRAAM and Python-4 I would pick to arm my plane with Python-4s.

For instance it's not superior Israeli pilot skills and super human capabilities the reason they won the Dogfights as they like to publicize it is in fact the Safrir missile that was better than the Russian missile armed in the Egyptian Migs. That among other things like for instance they sent their planes on a 4 hour low flying over sea route just to flank the Egyptian jets which was a very successful strategy.

Israel was much more prepared during the 6 day war their pilots were put trained to the max then. Egypt Military back then was used for parades.

Egyptians historically had soviet advisors to what they should buy use and what tactics implemented etc. Since Israeli wars were seen as test ground for the soviets they used to test out new unproven tactics for Egyptians as to see if they can use it against the west or not. Then Egyptians finally had enough of this and kicked the soviets out one of the reasons they did better in 73 compared to other wars.

Egypt had Differences with the Saudis back then as well remember the Yemeni Conflict and the USA USSR influenced Allies, it was Egypt Vietnam we fought Saudis in Yemen. I agree the Monkey Models weren't helping.

Interesting you pointed that out. And to which I must point out as well Immediately after the 6 day war Saudi Arabia gave its full support both financially and Militarily to Egypt. We might fight amongst ourselves but we know who the real enemy is.
