Islamophobia: Tony Abbott urged to speak out against attacks on Muslims

If you have ZERO interest in Islam and Muslims, then it's safer to stay out of their affairs, if you aren't willing to understand the way some muslims act, then it's wise not to start wars with them, ignorance just breeds ignorance, violence breeds violence, and words like "destroying" are tough words and show resolute, but destroying ideas has always failed when these ideas aren't fought with ideas FIRST, if you think that saying "I hate muslims and islam" will make all the problems in the middle east go away, then you are in for a surprise but then again, some people just want to blame others and don't want to look at themselves, this goes to muslim radicals and non-muslim radicals and warmongers alike.

Sharia is a broad field and it's more than just chopping off hands, for example halal meat and interest free banking is not and shouldn't be controversial at all it doesn't show that sharia is "creeping", it should be a right and falls under "freedom to practice religion", can't call yourself a free nation and not allow people to practice their religions, hindus have the right to not be served meat, sikhs have the right to wear their head gears as long as these things are confined within the laws of a certain nation.

Nope, if Muslims threat us, we simply kill them. Its that easy. If they are dead, the idea is dead as well. :) Behave and live happy and stop doing bullshit and all is fine.

Define threat in better detail? threat is a broad word, don't be trivial and be more specific

I have a lot of Muslim friends here in Australia. It's amazing how so many of them refuse to condemn the man who was shot after stabbing two police officers. The radicalization is deep.

It doesn't take much conversation with others to realise that an anti-Islam undercurrent is quite prevalent here in Australia. So many people including east Asians seem to harbour some sort of ill feeling towards them. All of which they keep hidden under the guise of political correctness.

And many white Australians aren't condemning the attacks on muslim women and the witch hunt on the muslim community in Australia or even the inhumane immigration laws which are being adapted, it's a bit funny when people condemn the Hizb ul Tahrir (sp?) fanatics but are quite obviously sympathetic towards groups like ADL and far right individuals and groups, there are more sinister reasons why there is this toxic atmosphere in Oz and it is not because ISIS is a real threat towards Oz, more because Australia is going through many domestic problems, fear is the greatest political tool, Hitler used it, Mussolini used it, nearly every brutal regime uses it, even ISIS uses fear as a tool (crusaders nonsense), when a state is running on fear, you should be alarmed, minorities in Australia should be standing together because Australia has always shown that it wants Australia to be white, lest we forget what Australia was built on, the blood of the Aboriginals.

Question is which one is the first to happen ? Witch hunt or terrorists with their silent spectators ?

Terrorists are found in all ideas they aren't restricted to one idea, the people terrorizing muslims/brown people in Australia are terrorists as well, being silent about attacks towards innocent muslims means that this will just escalate, for how long will you defend these acts? until they happen to your fellow hindus in Australia because some stupid racist mistook them for Arab or Pakistani?

Hindus are the worst sufferer of terrorism. Even around 400000-700000 hindus have to run away from their land because of this. I am just saying that we should look for the cause, not the effect. If the cause is stopped, then the effect will be. Who has started these things in the name of faith ? Who has supported it in the name of faith ? Who are the sympathizers ? These are the questions to be answered. Tell me one hindu organization who has migrated to a foreign land and then terrorized the locals in the name of faith ?

Quite frankly, nobody cares.

When people from Muslim countries (any which one) preach about the human rights and fanaticism, the hypocrisy makes the entire rhetoric fall on deaf ears.

But this is expected.

Even an animal would react if its existence is threatened....it might do unspeakably horrid things...because they are justified in its eyes...i think everyone should understand this.
