Too soon to demoralise . wait few days . i hv a gut feeling that few ministers is about to get arrested .

My basic understanding about Panama leaks is that Sharif clan has properties abroad. When were the properties acquired ? If it is before 2013 he is not in power. How can a leader out of power indulge in corruption ?

He was in power in 90's . if he is so innocent show us the proofs of money transaction .
+
Every candidate hv to declare their "all" assets to the election commission before election .

Fair questions

The Pakistani army deposed him in 1999. They had all the power and time to nail him on corruption charges

Better late than never.

In 2016 you would have a hard time bringing up any corruption case that happened in the 1990s
I do not know what Pakistani laws are. There are statue of limitations

Limitation laws apply from the date of knowing the wrong. Perjury alone is ample to adjudge one disqualified.

Every single PTI leader or supporter should be / MUST be arrested if they are planning to lock down Islamabad. Mazaq banaya hooa hai . All those who are threat to Pakistan should be punished and should be made example for others. end of story.

And democracy being barbaric, well i don't even like democracy, I am seeing the ill fruits of democracy in US, and i can tell you it's garbage. Whatever Pakistan has as their constitution right now has to be giving time to nourish, to see if it works or not. (Democracy or not, is a discussion for some other time though)
What you are saying could get you in trouble...

This country deserves a better class of criminal. @Oscar @Hyperion @Icarus @Irfan Baloch
If one criminal is free to live then why not the others? If today all criminals are let free then it is fine but what about tomorrow?
Then it will no more be matter of class but fair opportunity.

If only someone could find a used T-90 , get some combination of SSG/Kung Fu Monk training , find a black tactical suit, A generally silenced arsenal and just go on an assassination rampage killing any and all we hear corrupt stories of both in and out of Uniforms.

That may not be the change we need, but it is the change we deserve.
Can you also provide success rate scenarios?
There is an example in history...FRENCH REVOLUTION

Kill all those who have soft hands...Because they never worked. If they work their hands would not remain soft.

Unfortunately, the days of a blood stained revolutiin are gone. Yes i said unfortunately!! Looking at the dismal state of affairs.
Revolutions in those countries where the literacy rate is high one can expect to have a bloodless revolution. People here might not be that fortunate.

One man going bezerk is not a revolution per se.
This is rather interesting...Lets see how many like minded people come out in the near future. Political parties have over the years taken men/ women by offering them food and money to fill the rallies.

The french revolution was carried out by one maniac?

I don't understand the current political developements in Pakistan. What is happening? Is this the beginning of an Arab style revolution? What is the role of the military? And why do some people want to shut down the capital? How many Pakistani citizens are supporting this action? Help me, I want to understand this situation.

look at Iran what happened in 1979
revolutions do not have pleasant outcomes

evolutionary change is preferred

Thanks for you concern :-), but I have the right to speak my mind, and my mind says what I felt, and BTW I am not a socialist ;), Americans democracy is indigenous and they have given a lot of sacrifices for their democracy which gave them the urge to preserve it for as long as they can. Though some people here now are saying that their is no more democracy in US, well am not sure about that but the problem here is that Pakistan is practicing a far worse form of democracy. They have to work on their system rather than fighting with each other to take control of that system.

Is it a shock to anyone that NS is corrupt? or Zardari looted Pakistan or other idiots are ruining the country? No, everyone knows about what they are and what they are doing in the rule. But let them be judged on the scale of their own promises, rather than making them a victim and letting them run for the next time while crying they couldn't do anything the last time because of bla bla bla.

Unfortunately, the days of a blood stained revolutiin are gone. Yes i said unfortunately!! Looking at the dismal state of affairs.

The day Quid-e-Azam died, this country was run by those who didn't have the guts or willingness to put things in the RIGHT place. I have been saying this while I was in Pakistan that, this country is long over due for a revolution. May be that revolution would have made the change, but revolution has been hijacked by a false Messiah. As most of the young generations are done with the sad state of affairs and want a change, so this Messiah comes for their rescue.

Government must crack down on this attempt to "shut down" our capital. We know how "peaceful" these protests end up to be.

Businesses are coerced to close, emergency services get paralyzed, local infrastructure is severely and purposely damaged, domestic trade is cut off, government decisions are delayed, influences anarchy in other regions, decays law and order even further, scares away investment, financially harm the stock market, vandalization of public and private property, and since it's our nation's capital; instability will increase not only in Islamabad but through whole of Pakistan as well.

Being an ex-PTI member, I once hung out with these "Youth Wing" members (Sialkot Division); all they did was drive around motorcycles and tear down PMLN signs, intimidate/harass PMLN supporters, vandalize public/private property (by spray painting PTI and PTI slogans), and engage in other criminal activities.

Being an American as well, I know that if any political party in the US (not only the US but any country) threatens to "shutdown" the Capital - then that political party would immediately be banned, leaders arrested, and an overall nation-wide crackdown.

Government must not be lenient.
Right.

Now what to do with a Prime Minister whose corruption was exposed by a neutral source and he does not steps down and presents himself for accountability?

If the leader of the country is corrupt and does not sets the precedent of accountability, then who will?

All those who are threat to Pakistan should be punished

Your PM will be the first person to get punishment!

@bold... Sorry, didnt understand tht clearly... IK doesnt want, what?less Confident PM sharif?

What I meant was, if Army is succeeded in making govt. believe that Army is with them, even if they are not, govt will continue taking such steps that were taken last night. IK wants blunders that can only be expected if a person becomes over confident and behaves irrationally.

Yesterday night's over confident actions favored IK a lot from political stand point. This over confidence, which is in fact a false confidence of support (or remaining neutral) from Army led to blunders that are normally not expected from an experienced political party.

Democracy doesn't mean that you get to shut down the capital of Pakistan for days on end. Enough is enough.
