The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) launched Sunday its second chemical weapons attack against Iraqi soldiers in two days, sending pro-government forces to the hospital in an attempt to slow an offensive to oust the jihadists from their final stronghold of Mosul.

Six Iraqi soldiers were treated at a field clinic Sunday after being exposed to some sort of gas believed to be released by militants loyal to ISIS, Brigadier General Yahya Rasool, the Iraqi spokesperson for the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS, told the Associated Press. While the type of poison used was still being investigated, the attack followed another apparent use of weaponized gas on Saturday when ISIS militants launched a rocket filled with what was believed to be chlorine at Iraqi military positions. Saturday's attack, which took place in the western neighborhood of Abar, injured seven soldiers, according to the Associated Press.

This gives the answer to the question who launched gas attack in Syria

. . . .
There were no WMD in Iraq because Bush Gov cannot find any remember. So who? :)

US already knew there were no WMD in Iraq.

ISIS has been put together by US and Israel and they are the ones who are giving them all the weapons including gas and chemical weapons. The money is coming from Qatar and KSA.

. .
Didn't Syria hand over last Chemical? It’s Complicated
The point is not Syria handing over. Syria has the capacity to make new chemical weapons they have the tech and they can. Question Why would Assad use the chemical weapons as he is already winning the war on the ground. Assad didn't used chemical weapons but someone is supplying chemical weapons to the ISIS and AL-Nusra. Who is it?

. .
It's dangerously 'easy' to procure WMDs via black markets.
Yes it is but not nerve agents. You need extensive scientific knowledge to store them and manufacture nerve agents. And you need training to use them not every one can use chemical weapons. Who else has chemical weapons in the region?

Bush administration cannot save it's self from the blame of WMD because they cannot find any in Iraq. Prime Minister of UK had to resign for no WMD in Iraq so where are they coming from. This question is very important to be answered, to understand who is not letting the war fade in middle east and who want Muslims kill each other.

CORRECT! .... and no body has the balls to fight a war with Russia, not even EU and US combined together. The ground realities are changing fast. UK has started Brexit and the "American Spring" in the form of Trump is another headache for "those" who want to achieve their objectives in the garb of WOT.

Sand is shifting under the feet and new political dimensions will require a change in the strategy as well.

This recent gas attack in Syria is actually a sign of desperation, it has been a complete failure from strategic perspective.

There is a breed of dog in Mianwali Chidru region known as Khanda. If you keep those dogs at your house when ever a stranger will come they will run towards the stranger and bark like hell. Now if the stranger runs away the Khanda will move forward and will bite the stranger but if the strange moves forward and stamp his feet on the ground the khanda will retreat and go silent. This is what is happening.
