nice article but tell me sir a nation which is neck deep in IMF/WB ciruclar loans and unable to give uninturrupted electricty to its commerfcial capital and manufacturing enclaves/industrial areas how will it spare money and elctricty for rail guns

Same way it is sparing money for other much more expensive defence projects.

To me the issue of efficacy is more important than power. Seems like another US Star Wars program. A monumental program paralleled only by its colossal failure.

It can be completed by wide scale deployment will only be pozsible for countries with massive defense buget. Program is more viable than laser based weapons but be ready for couple of decades due to limitation in superconductors currently available for max transfer of power.
