We follow the four varnas/classes that was first mentioned in Rigveda. Many of the gods of Vedas are incorporated into gods of Hindu pantheon. Many of our rituals we follow are vedic rituals.

Also Vedas mention about use of horses but none of the harappan sites showed any signs of horses bones or fragments. Vedas mention the life of people as nomadic with use of horse to move around. BUT the IVC is regarded as urban settlements of pastoral people. Even the people of gangetic plains were pastoral people living of the land by farming. So, who are the nomadic people mentioned in the vedas??

Most Hindus grow up learning many vedic hymns and Gayatri Mantra is one.

History and Meaning of the Gayatri Mantra
The Gayatri mantra first appeared in the Rig Veda, an early Vedic text written between 1800 and 1500 BCE. See you want to accept theories that are consistent with what you believe happened. Same here. You don't want to believe that we found more Harappan sites about 600 here. Even if they are in outer peripheral region of IVC they are consistent with my theory that people moved east wards.
