I personally think he is Atheist. He has claimed to be Atheist and then become a Born Again Christian. The American public has always voted for "Christian" presidents. You know, they like good clean proper god fearing republican/democrat white folks to lead their nation. The only thing that has changed is the white part. So he is Christian on record as of today. He goes to church. I personally think he is Atheist. Although, even if he is Muslim, I dont see why thats a problem. Isnt America secular?

None of the above. He's met his father only once. He idolized his father growing up, since his mom had really talked him up to the child Barack Obama. She was having problems with her current husband, so she started idealizing her previous love. But these were mostly idealistic things, not religious things. His father in reality was a flawed man on which much later his sister confronted him on. He is known to have cried at his Father's grave, too.

But his religious upbrining was exclusively Christian. He doesn't seem very religious either.

What's different about him is, that he carries on with him the idealistic vision of his father that his mom painted for him. His father was like one of those old anti-colonialist babay (you know in their 80s/90s) we have in Pakistan and India who despise the "goray" or are like just anti-west because they remember the subjugation of the British. That means he is also anti-west in someways, anti-capitalism, pro-social reforms.

He may end up losing this election for his 2010 mistake when he pushed Obamacare into legislation and faced strong opposition from Americans to the point that he lost both houses and was the Democrats single biggest loss. He hasn't been able to do 90% of the things he said he would do, in part due to losing the mid-term elections and losing his votes in the houses.

His family multi-religious but hes pretty much left his African siblings behind and doesn't have religious ties with them. Not to mention many of his African side were Christian too.

There is an Indian American guy who made a documentary with all this, you should go see it. Its all too confusing until you see it all enacted with diagrams.

His father had basically 4 wives and some of his extended family is Muslim, some Christian, most indifferent.

What that guy argues is that, whats worrying for Americans is that he idolized his father to such an extent that if he implemented all of his fathers teachings, they would go against established Americanism. He has also mastered how to talk to people and meander his ways around. For example he doesn't sound at all like his siblings. Hes a happy African American President, they are not even Happy Africans, they come off very pissed off. Obama has locked up his "blackness". He sold his smiling blackman product and it got bought by America.

His father had eventually abandoned Islam and became a atheist. He wasn't a muslim when he died.
