Is Non Alcoholic Malt sold in Pakistan halal?

It's quite simple. Alcohol is banned in Islam. If a drink has no alcohol then it is halal.

In the West they sometimes have beer with 0.5% alcohol which they can legally call non-alcoholic. Normal beer has 5% alcohol. So, you have to drink 10 bottles of 0.5% beer to get the same buzz as one normal bottle. From the Islamic perspective 0.5% beer is controversial. Some can say that you'll never get drunk with it, so it is okay. Some will say that it is haram because it has a tiny amount of alcohol.

But beer with zero percent (0.0%) alcohol is obviously halal.

Examples.

Beer with 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV)

A lot of food products have 0.5% or traces alcohol. Even ice-creams & juices can have traces of alcohol. Many food products naturally get traces of alcohol in them while being made. So an aim for 0% alcohol might not be attainable in several things & may not be a correct criteria, this definition is over simplistic. PS I have no interest in consuming any sort of beer 0% or 0.5%. I am just highlighting a technical detail which molvis overlook because they don't know.

Non-Alcoholic Malt is available readily all over Pakistan in retail stores, namely from companies like Murree Brewery and Holsten (the one sold in Saudi Arabia). I was recently confronted with a request to try the Holsten Black Grape, to which I complied, but now after doing research I've found conflicting opinions on it. Murree Brewery's malt is certified halal:
The Holsten sold in Pakistan is the same Holsten sold in Saudi Arabia openly in supermarkets, and alcohol consumption is banned in Saudi Arabia for everyone, so it is probably halal as well. This is a major issue as we might be seeing many Pakistanis being given alcohol in the name of something halal.

Does anybody here know about this and help me with it?

100% halal. If it doesn't intoxicate you it's halal. Vinegar which is a prelude to wine is halal and part of the Sunnah as a prophetic food... Also may have trace alcohol...

I dig these however have to be taken in moderation as all sugary drinks have ramifications for male reproductive health.
mere toh phir khana kharab ho ga...
too many sugary drinks lol

btw there's any scientific for it? cause I don't think there's anything wrong with sugar except that it gets you fat which I am not so I think its cool to drink sugary drinks as long as you are not getting fat

Dude what world are you living in ? Not denying that even a tiny % of alcohol would still be considered a tiny % of filth but our whole economic structure is based on ribba . Which means we as a nation are being fed with the blood and bones of the down trodden , a literal economic strangulation of the poor is going on in full swing, and the shameful thing is we also cheerlead for the hyenas orchestrating it.

If this ain't a politically correct form of cannibalism then what is it ? @Great Janjua @jamahir
do you throw away any over-ripe fruit?

BTW. what is the status of nutmeg in you neck of the woods these days?

never mind about police being wholesale distributors of hashish/heroin and being protectors of the likes of rana sanaullah, let's instead start a campaign against malt (a germinated then dried cereal grain).

It would be best if you cut down on it and the body heals itself in time. Fizzy sugary drinks are hazardous for male reproductive health, and there's research literature on these.

Bhai everything which doesn't alter your nervous system is allowed in Islam.if anything affects your thinking ability,it is haram no matter it contain any alcohol or not.

.
Do Pakistanis actually drink that a lot or are they afraid to be seen in public with something like this and give the wrong impression to other people?

I read somewhere that you can consume alcohol if it's 2/3rd neutralized or should I say saturated

Thanks again, this pretty much answers my original question.

We're discussing a drink that doesn't have alcohol at all. It is supposed to taste like beer and is just malt flavoured fizzy water. I was just asking people if it is Halal. Also where did Ribba come in from, Lol.
