Is my driving license valid in Germany?

In few days my PhD program starts and I have to leave for Germany. I want to ask members here from Germany whether our international driving license is valid there?

I have been working in UAE for many years so driving a left handed vehicle is not a problem.

NO. You will have to do a driving test and get a german license! They know how valid a Pakistani license is. Sadly

find out what is required to obtain a license in Germany. Secondly I think you will be fine with a bicycle there!

You can drive for the first 6 months on the UAE driving license and then will have to take the driving test. You are exempted from taking mandatory driving classes however.

Drive safe and follow the rules specially giving way to bicycles and zones marked limited to 10 20 and 30.

Drive with foresight.

Dont hesitate when you have right of way.

Merge on the autobahn at a good speed 80kmh/100kmh and beware of large vehicles when merging.

Chalna chahiya ki baat ni hy bhai. Hona to bht kuch chahiay likin hota kuch or hy.

looks like it won't. You'll have to sit a test in Germany.

It will depend on how many days you can stay in Germany. If you are going as a student you would be required a German licence. However international Licence is valid only on rent a cars not on others. So if you hire rent a car then you can drive it.

It will depend on how many days you can stay in Germany. If you are going as a student you would be required a German licence. However international Licence is valid only on rent a cars not on others. So if you hire rent a car then you can drive it.

My stay would be 3-5 years.
