Europe has ICBMs we do not feel threaten from them so it will be a mutual threat that will establish a strategic balance. Being a nuclear power our conflicts will not remain with in our our present BM range. So sooner or later we will have to do that to keep wars away from our frontiers.

when there is a revolt against a cruel king and nobody is listening to the King any more despite of his rudeness, USA is facing same situation here. They are in no position to wage a war against Pakistan. they know the cost and loss they will suffer.Trump tweets are hurricane in a cup and golden opportunity for Pakistan to safeguard our interests and do a missile test which will ultimately shut uncle sam up.

A question was asked in topic, I gave my opinion by judging the tone and behaviour of our military leadership, they dont think that present circumstances require an ICBM test, we are discussing this matter while sitting in our cosy chairs, ppl in the field know better and more than us. The Time will tell.
But we can debate on this' right?.... and it is not necessary that people who are working or doing something knows more than someone who is not in business. These traitor politicians and some other people had put put Pakistan in such a situation that they themselves don't know what to do. Our foreign office is saying Military will respond and Military spokesman says its upto Govt to take a stance. What the hell this nonsense is?

Imagine their reaction to itThis is unfortunate considering how bad things have gone. People like myself have been saying this for a while that a time will come where Pakistan and US will be at cross roads and a 9/11 like situation maybe created where Pakistan might be asked again to make a choice whether we are with them or against them and in case we are against them, we might be bombed back to stone age again. It turns out that things are rather moving swiftly in that direction and while we still not have an I of an ICBM 16 years latter as you put it, however others wont wait this time to actually capitalise on this situation.
This is a stupid idea. What purpose will it serve? Pakistan already has the capacity to get ICBM, they just dont want it. Pakistan's narrative since inception has been that all the military might is against india, I think it makes sense if things stay that way, rather than trying to be hero. Why build ICBM? why not improve literacy rate in country? Why not improve economy. How will a common Pakistani benefit from ICBM.
