But we can debate on this' right?.... and it is not necessary that people who are working or doing something knows more than someone who is not in business. These traitor politicians and some other people had put put Pakistan in such a situation that they themselves don't know what to do. Our foreign office is saying Military will respond and Military spokesman says its upto Govt to take a stance. What the hell this nonsense is?

Debatable ofcourse, We will find out whats the plan when time comes.

 

[The Deterrent]

This is unfortunate considering how bad things have gone. People like myself have been saying this for a while that a time will come where Pakistan and US will be at cross roads and a 9/11 like situation maybe created where Pakistan might be asked again to make a choice whether we are with them or against them and in case we are against them, we might be bombed back to stone age again. It turns out that things are rather moving swiftly in that direction and while we still not have an I of an ICBM 16 years latter as you put it, however others wont wait this time to actually capitalise on this situation.
I remember you did mention that we have contingency plans, i just hope that when the shit hits the fan those contingency plans are actually worth it for us not going towards developing an ICBM.

Its actually not. The amount of resources dedicated towards strategic weapons program are so minuscule that it would be fool's dream to expect anything like that. Besides, people not keen on reading up on this stuff, don't realize that developing a 5500km range missile solves zero problems, as far as deterring US is concerned (in the manner NoKo does). You need a whopping 12,000km range strike weapon to reliably target CON-US, and deter it in that way. I elaborated some reasons why we couldn't and shouldn't do anything like that:

There are other, much more economical (both financially and diplomatically) ways to deter US from any misadventure. But I fail to grasp why everyone seems to think that anything like that will happen. This is just a small spat between the two countries, nothing more. Worse incidents have happened in the past.

every time there is a ripple in Pakistan and US relations , people here start with ICBM's , i mean seriously guys ? there one Ohio Class Submarine is more than enough to bring Pakistan to its knees .. if we cant be friends better not be enemies as well
