Why is it that the only group in history to be rejected by every people they have lived with are the jews.......go back to the egyptians all the way to the germans.

Whatever they do, they are the best in it - Money, Science, etc. It causes insecurity.

After many tries only one person, Joshi, came up with a tangible helpful action of Israel's in support of the US. That was: selling the US the old Soviet military equipment they had captured in the 1973 war from Egypt so the US could provide it to the Afghan mujaheddin and maintain some "deniability" with the Soviets. It is pretty clear that the US-Israeli "Alliance" is very one-sided. In fact, a better term would be that Israel is a voluntary protectorate of the US, the most costly protectorate ever undertaken in human history. Those of you who think that Israel is, somehow, a valuable ally to the US are smoking weed, way too much......

Be an ally. Pakistan is a better friend to the US in tangible terms than is Israel......

Wht is the advantage of having Israel as ally for US anyway? It is only useful as a military base or proxy I think, they are eating USA's tax money and weapon technology no benefit for US. Pakistan is far better for US

I agree to some extent with several of you. The relationship with Israel does not require her to do anything for us, just be there. As fhassan has pointed out. Israel has served as our "Rook" on the chessboard for many years. But to say it is just a relationship of convenience is too simple. The ties between Israel and America are very strong. Not only due to the influence of Jewish-Americans, but also due to the nature of Israeli society. I don't mean to offend anyone here, but it is just more "American", than the societies of most of Israel's neighbors. When they have so many of their citizens, like Mrs.Golda Meir, who were Americans, that makes for strong ties. On top of that, unlike Europe, America is a very religious country. Many of the Christian churches in America have very strong ties to the Israeli people and to the existence of Israel due to their interpretation of the Bible. Most evangelical Christians in America are far stronger supporters of Israel than even Jewish Americans are. Jews support, overwhelmingly, the liberal party in America, the Democrats, and the Evangelicals overwhelmingly support the more "hawkish" and pro-Israel conservative party, the Republicans. That does not mean that Israel and America does not have our problems with each other. We spy on them...they spy on us.

Hi guys,

I dont understand why everyone out here missed the real help provided by Israel to US. Well the real help is through Intel, Mossad has its ears on all the countries in the world, specially on Pakistan,Afghanistan,iran,china and North korea. Moreover Mossad has intel on every key politician of US.The reason why US can never and ever confront israel is because of these,moreover half of the businessmen and politicians who have an upper hold in US are the JEWS.... and israels Mossad knows a lot more of american secrets than even the key people in DOD of US knows... classified top secrets of US army are with Mossad.. i dont have links to all the above claims, but i can understand from what i have read all these years.One thing is for sure,Mossad can penetrate into any country and gather intel which even the CIA can't.Its not the matter of being a good or trusted ally, its just the matter of coexsistence.America and american leaders have no choice but to exist as an ally of israel, beacause israel has penetrated deep into american defence and affairs.
