Hello guys.

I like to know the suggestions of all members that weather the india is handling the criminals and terrorist very soft and gentle?

in my point of view many criminals are simply using the holes in law and misusing the democracy in the wrong way.
i like to make the punishment and law should be strict and heavy as doing in other countries like saudi(plz not in religious bias), malaysia etc etc. so that we can able to reduce the crime rate in our cities.

does our politicians come forward to do this?

one small example is ajmal kasab. its all known fact that he is in 26/11 attack, but we are still handling him soft and spending money for his security etc etc. even though he centensed to death in court, there is a possibility to escape from his punishment by giving forgive petition to president. there are many more similar cases like this but no action is taken for this.:hitwall:

BTW this is my first thread. i apologies if this discussion already exists.

Thanks in advance:cheers:

I think there are differences between criminals and terrorists.

Criminal: Crime against known individual. They harm people for money, power or revenge etc.

Terrorist: Crime against humanity. They mostly kill innocent people, those they even don't know. They are the worst, brainwashed 'human beings' raised/trained by some war-mongering but relatively weak people.

You need to make difference between them. I think India going against terrorists in a medium way (nor good, nor bad) but we need to work on our judiciary.

Ah well.. all terrorists are criminals by the way....

Terrorists are not criminals, they are worse than criminals. Killing someone for money or ruthless firing from AK-47 in a train station cannot be compared. Terrorists deserve worst 'handling' and better 'treatment' than a criminal.

I agree with you.....

we can argue the definition of a terrorist or comparison of terrorist to criminals, but fact remains that India handles BOTH too softly!

Its time we had a serious overhaul in our judicial system. Punishments for criminals are too lenient. In Cochin, there are stories of criminals who steal or commit armed robbery, have a 3 month 'vacation' in jail at government expense where they meet new contacts and learn more tricks of the trade, and then go out and try these new methods! To them jail is more like a social club.

As for terrorism we all knwo how our babus are just full of hot air, "We strrongly condom theese cowarrdly act of the terrerists" is about the best reaction we get. :hitwall::hitwall:
We should really get some training from Israel for this. Our anti-terrorist forces should become 'terrorist for terrorists'. We should adopt a no-mercy policy against terrorism. If we adopt Mossad's attitude towards terrorism, scum like Hafeez Sayed and Dawood Ibrahim will soon be pushing daisies. :sniper:

I agree with you. Read my earlier post. We need to seriously rebuilt our judicial system, where the politicians/powerful people usually survive all the time.

Every year we see so many ferocious crimes which were very dangerous to our society and some of those criminals got death sentences but very few people were hanged in India in last ten years. Why?? If criminals are not prosecuted correctly than the crimes increase rapidly.

Do you remember the release of a criminal who raped his young student and later she committed suicide accusing the teacher responsible for her death? He was released because he passed the IAS exam!!!

. .
I will give Indian govt 5 out of 10 for their efforts against terrorism and 0.5 out of 10 for judiciary and prosecution of criminals.

.
Our judicial system is too slow we need more courts and judges unless people will rather opt for illegal ways to settle disputes and problems than get into never ending and slow process of judiciary.
govt is afraid to hang terrorists even if court ordered so. They think they will loose certain communitys votes.
