Is every Bangla-speaking poor Muslim in India Bangladeshi migrant?

recently Govt. stated that more than 5 lakh Indians entered legally but did not return back to India.Combining it with those entering illegally,I guess there are at least a million illeagal Indians in BD.

A BD construction worker in Dhaka makes almost as much as in Dubai. And we know the living standard of Calcutta and that is not far away from us.

Not all BD workers are construction workers. Majority of BD population are rice farmers. And due to the disadvantageous location of being at the same level of sea, the BD farmers near sea lose their crops at the slightest bit of rain or high tide , floods and cyclones.
You can now imagine what they earn . They can't simply survive. So they migrate to assam where the huge river islands of assam are the most fertile lands and are mostly uninhibited because of low population density. We were all right until they were limited to the river islands until last decade. But now they have propagated to all lower assam districts and commiting crimes I don't want to tell you about.

If it is true it is problem with your police and immigration.

But the 8 million living in assam never entered legally. Took a boat and landed in assam.

Yes, since the Turkish Malik Ikhtiar-ud-Din Muhammad Bakhtiar Khilji led an expedition to Assa in 1206, there are Muslims in Assam. In fact, there was no distinction between our NE and Assam. People from our NE (from the greater Mymensingh) used to go there, cultivate land and bring back the production by boats to their homes. Partition has made it difficult for them. But, there remains one question to answer. If these people, generation after generation, were frequenting Assam, then is it not that Assam is also their motherland?

I think unless Bengali people in West Bengal and native Assamise themselves make bigger hue and cry about issue of illigegal migration and force local politicians this problem only gonna get bigger and create a social unrest and security threat which'll risk indias national integrity.

Secular athiest communist philosophy popular among Bengalis of west Bengal combined with Bengali brotherhood may hinder taking strong position aganist rapidly growing up migrants numbers ,But history shows such communist ideas never survived in any muslim society and also it anti UP/bihari assult in Maharastra shows the moment u live ur own state ,u become more and more align as u go cross more boundaries.

Loosing ur own land to any one is a bad idea...loosing it to foreign nationals is a blunder...keeping in the mind the fact that indian Bengali or Assami people cant migrate to Banladesh to cover lost their territoris.

Of course W. Bengalis and Assamese are our brothers. They can migrate anywhere in Bangladesh but first they need to get out of India and form a greater Bengal including Bangladesh. WE ARE READY ANYTIME.

The Indians enter with visa, then they find jobs and keep on living in BD. They cannot any more extend their visa, because their visas were only 'visitor's visa.' So, these Indians are staying and working in BD illegally.

No, you have not understood the situation exactly. These Mymensingh people were frequenting there even during the British time. So, it happened that some of them started to live in that part. For example, out of five sons, two decided to live in Assam, where also they had farmland. How do you define the nationality of these people?

They are a kind of nomadic people every year frequenting in between the very nearby two lands. To them, it is not that they go to India, they go to their homes in Assam. However, a time came when the country was divided and gradually India erected fence. There are another group we call 'BADIA.' They are from Munshiganj Jilla. Their women sell homemade accessories. Their men are snake charmers.

The last group also go to Assam, Kamrup and Kamakkha at a certain period of time every year on boats, catch snakes and collect herbal roots etc and come back. Partition or what, life style of these people must be maintained without restrictions.

What is your idea of the status of these people should be? Do they really belong to BD, or do they also have rights in those parts of Assam in which they have partial ROOTS and land property? Answer without bias and while you write remember the status of ROMAs in europe.
