China :
Opposing to Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Taiwan,
Losing influence in North Korea, Myanmar, Mongolia...

USA:
Opposing to None of neighbor
Getting normal relation with Cuba, Vietnam ... communism countries - former foes.
And most of above China neighbors and Kyrgyzstan...

There seems to be a correlation, but we can't accurately say it's causation. Geo-politics is a strange game.

While China loses influence in some nations, it gains in South Korea and Latin America.

Conversely, the US gains in Vietnam, Myanmar and Cuba, and is trying to make good with India and Iran, but is losing influence in South Korea. Its relations with Israel are rocky too; China is making good with Israel.

Geo-politics is a strange game with a mutli-faceted approach and causes. While China may seem to be the unifying factor in the information presented, can we truly identify it as the cause?

Here's something more strange. Russia is losing influence in its backyard, Central Asia, to its primary trading partner China. Russia is losing influence in Cuba, India and Vietnam too, this time to the US.

Nations gain, nations lose, and the turn of the geo-political clock marches on uninterrupted. The only truth to the geo-political puzzle is that nations align themselves for their own interest, wherever they may be. Money tends to be a principle concern.

You may know that neighborhood is very important to China, Russia,... and any country.

Having an opposing neighbor is bad, ... more than one opposing neighbor is worse.

we are lucky to live in such a quiet part of the world. only problem stirring in our neck of woods is Venezuela.

China has 4 nuclear powers on it's borders in Russia,North Korea,Pakistan, and India. I'm surprise China so far has only dealt with most of it problems with soft power and not through force :D

Wrong, South Korea sees China more positively now. China is also gaining with all of South Asia, even India.

In Taiwan (just like in HK), they also substantial number of supporting China. Not everyone are anti-China.
In Philippine might also be the same case. I'm not saying they support China, but they do understand the important of China to their country. The only issue is the current PH gov is very pro-US... just like other democratic country, we wait for next election...:nana:

LOL if you go by who is the most hated country in the world, US and Israel and even Russia are all way up there, we have little to worry about.

China has good relations with both Koreas. Korea has been a protectorate of China for millenia.

What's the size of China's trade with its neighbours and the size of US trade with China's neighbours?

Hint:
US-Japan Trade 2014: $200 billion
China-Japan Trade 2014: $312 billion

Time to get your calculator out.

Of all the countries listed by the OP, I won't consider the Philippines, Japan, VietNam as the most anti-China if we were to judge by the sentiments of its people. IMO, I would rank Mongolia as the most anti-China country out of that list.

With Vietnam and the Philippines, the hatred is primarily political. On the personal level, there are no hostilities. I'm pretty sure if people like @Rechoice, @NiceGuy, @Cossak see a Chinese person in trouble on the street, they would help, even though they won't admit it here on PDF.

With the Mongolians (not the ones from inner MG), I think it will be entirely different. There seems to be some kind of intense hostility against the Han Chinese on the personal level, rather than just political. No clue why. Not every Mongolians are anti-China, but I think there are a sizable number of them. Of all the countries listed, Mongolia would probably be the most dangerous place for an ethnic Han Chinese to live in. VN, PH, JP, SK are safe for an ethnic Chinese.

My personal ranking would be like this... from the most anti-Chinese... IMHO:

1. Mongolia (not political but primarily personal/racism)
2. Japan (political and inferiority-superiority complex)
3. North Korea (just for a laugh)
4. South Korea, VietNam (SK anti-China sentiment primarily from superiority/inferiority complex. VN is primarily political.)
5. Philippines (primarily political, before 2009, there were no problems)
6. Not sure what the other South and South East ranking would be.

As I read, they rejected North Korea from AIIB ?
Russia aerospace still work with US while the sanction is going on.
Any link between those?
