Iraq's drought unveils 3,400-year-old palace of mysterious empire

.
ALLAH knows best, but if it referred to petrol, it would be river of gold, not mountain. my two cents.

there is some confusion in my mind about this hadith.
Some Scholars are saying that referring to above hadith that that mountain of gold is actually Petrol.
and if they are right than that means that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had forbid us to use petrol.

and by the sense of this hadith there is going to be a real mountain of gold beneath the Euphrate river..

It's probably ancient Kurdish empire. Kurds are the first of humankind. They are older than the earth itself. Bigbang happened when a Kurd tried to fire its cigarette. ( serious Kurdish thesis )
Their claims are ridiculous, just when they claim a civilization that happened to be on their land it’s just like a Spaniard claim the artifacts of the Mayans or the Incans. They are no different from the Turks who claim Iranian artifacs that happened to be on Central Asia.

.
Those who want to take it, will find out soon enough.

Pakistan need to stay away from this.

What is it though? Why is everyone talking in riddles.

Why you shouldn't take it?
Well... Only Allah knows best...
I,myself... could only speculate...
That taking ''Gold'' that you didn't work for, will often lead you out of the stray path...

Look what happen to those who take ''Treasure'' as their protector... and that since The beginning of our Human history... They became slaves to the Dunya...
Is it some sort of bacteria, covered up by mud and water? Maybe when it dries the the treasure of its victims would become visible.

by who USA or Iran, even if occupied doesn't mean you'd see any of it

even if.. mountains of gold?

heh
By both, none if the 2 are any better. They are both the same. They don't want the best for the Iraqis they just want to use them.

And I don't want it. If we were advised to stay away then I will do just as that. There are things that we still cant understand, but the people before us did.

. . .
Your people claim an artifacts that built by another people who inhabited the lands before them.

What's the Iranian connection about Tarim mummies? Since Turkic people didn't land on earth from sky with parachutes, it makes more sense them being proto-Turks than anything Iranic. Same goes for Tomrys Hatun, the Iranians claim that she is Iranian and the Turks claim that she is Turkic. It's not certain. Simply there is not enough proof whether she was Turkic or Iranian.

Deep history is a mystery with full of uncertain theories.

Yeah you see you are just like the Kurds claiming the heritage of the people who lived in that land before but I have little advice stop stealing while you are calling the Kurds thieves:-)

It doesn't work like that actually. If we say that Vikings are Turkics, you would rightfully say it. Because %100 of historians would say they are not. In our case, according to researchs, some of the historians claim she was Turkic, others say Iranic due to some reasons. But no one can certainly say she was one of these two sides. This is what I mean "uncertanity". You have theories A and B. No once can %100 prove it's A. In some cases majority of international researchers and historians accept the theory X. Then it's accepted.

This case is not one of them. I hope I explained well what I am trying to say.

So, it means that the mountain of gold is going to be discovered..

That’s what I thought first but isn’t that going to be found in the Euphrates ?

Why you shouldn't take it?

From what I recall only 1 out of 100 who go to retrieve the gold will survive and listening to a scholar (Allama Asrar Rashid,Bham), those who survive this and live to the time of Imam Mahdi Alahyis Salam will ask them for gold and will receive so much that they will want to return it but the Imam will refuse and then they will wish that if only we had not tried to retrieve the gold from the Euphrates because many of them will have injuries or will have lost someone close in this fitna. This indicates that the gold finding and the time of Imam Mahdi Alayhis Salam will be close

Iraq's drought unveils 3,400-year-old palace of mysterious empire

Receding waters in the Mosul Dam reservoir have unveiled "one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the region." Researchers said the Mittani Empire is one of the least understood ancient civilizations.

A team of German and Kurdish archaeologists have discovered a 3,400-year-old palace that belonged to the mysterious Mittani Empire, the University of Tübingen announced on Thursday.

The discovery was only made possible by a drought that significantly reduced water levels in the Mosul Dam reservoir.

"The find is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the region in recent decades and illustrates the success of the Kurdish-German cooperation," said Hasan Ahmed Qasim, a Kurdish archaeologist of the Duhok Directorate of Antiquites who worked on the site.

Shrouded in mystery

Last year, the team of archaeologists launched an emergency rescue evacuation of the ruins when receding waters revealed them on the ancient banks of the Tigris. The ruins are part of only a handful discovered from the Mittani Empire.

"The Mittani Empire is one of the least researched empires of the Ancient Near East," said archaeologist Ivana Puljiz of the University of Tübingen. "Even the capital of the Mittani Empire has not been identified."

Very little is known about the Mittani Empire

'Archaeological sensation'

The team had little time to spare as water levels continued to rise, eventually submerging the ruins again. At least 10 cuneiforms clay tablets were discovered inside the palace.

"We also found remains of wall paints in bright shades of red and blue," Puljiz said. "In the second millennium BCE, murals were probably a typical feature of palaces in the Ancient Near East, but we rarely find them preserved. Discovering wall paintings in Kemune is an archaeological sensation."

A team of researchers in Germany will now try to interpret the cuneiform tablets. They hope that the clay tablets will reveal more about the Mittani Empire, which once dominated life in parts of Syria and northern Mesopotamia.

"Doomsday will not strike before the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold. People will fight for it. Ninety-nine out of each one hundred will be killed. Every one of them will think, ‘I will probably win the fight.’" [Bukhari, Fitan 24; Muslim, Fitan 29, (2894); Abu Dawud, Malahim 13, (4313, 4314); Tirmidhi, Jannah 26, (2572, 2573)]

There are Turks, Arabs and Iranians say the same stupid things. Blacks claim the Sumerians and Egyptians were black.
