Iran used to do this because it had an incentive to do so. Also, India was a spoiler provoking and whispering Iran to harbor anti-Pakistan elements. India was investing in Chabahar. Iran quickly figured out India is a paper tiger. False promises with zero progress. Iran doesn't have any incentive to destabilise Pakistan or Gwadar anymore since it will only hurt itself. Iran will benefit from CPEC and Pakistan will benefit from Iranian project. Iran joined the same camp that Pakistan was already part of. This is one family. We are one union. We will work together.

This is a new chapter. A new beginning. Iran, Pakistan and China are going to work together in this new era. India is going to be butthurt. Spectate from the sidelines. Totally ignored.

Pakistan has no desire to "control" anything in Iran. Why does this strategic shift hurt you so much anyway? As you said, even if China brings Iran into CPEC, India's commercial functionality in Chabahar is not affected. Or is there some other concern that India has?
