What's new

Iranians v Afghans v Pakistanis. Economic migrants fight each other at KOS(doorway to Europe)

half of more then half of the men in kharian are in the europe and the gulf..... i know this better then you so just accept what i say..... these men are not going their to live for ever.....they went to simple make money and send that money back to pakistan... claiming asylum is one way to get their papers and live their without worrying about getting deported...
as for the gulf... people dont go there becuase they get treated like slaves and dogs...
all the farms in greece employ pakistanis/indians... i know this because i talked to greeks here in america and i have tons of family.... they have lots of farm jobs available...

as for your apology.... sorry.

I know about kharian, the thing is that there is a strong settled community in Norway, so their adjustment to life in Europe is easy. They also go through the correct mechanisms.
The issue is not about making money, everyone should be able to do that and there is nothing wrong with migrant workers provided there is a shortage and they go about it the right way. As for being treated like dogs, the conditions they are experiencing now are little better, and staying with this topic, if you start fighting in the streets, your image just goes down the pan.
Yes many Pakistanis do work in the farms.
Thank you for your apology.

@qamar1990 and @Skywalker get a room you two.
Get a room, have you got any self respect, just because you are having a better life does not make you better or bigger than these poor souls, we don't even know what prompted them of who provoked that, you just jumped into it and started disgracing my countrymen, you should be ashamed of your self and if you have little bit of self respect left ( which I believe you don't) just don't comeback here.

.
take away the remittence you get from us .... what do you have left??? a broke third world country that cant even meet its budget

I'm not living in Pakistan, I'm a third generation British Pakistani.
Like I said, the remittances are important, but the effect is limited, prone to global economic fluctuations and completely based on the generosity of foreign countries.
I do invest in Pakistan and send money over, with the aim to develop an economy within Pakistan, which can provide jobs to the population.

wake up and smell the coffee... india is not miles ahead at all... they arent that far off.[/QUOTE]

Whatever makes you happy mate...atleast Indian tourists don't get asked awkward questions when they say they are from India. Perception matters, and we have been losing the world's respect for decades now. Delusions will only take us so far.

I have met quite a few pakistanis here, they all cant lie.

Life is not all that bad in Pakistan's cantonment areas and the gated communities in Lahore and Islamabad. These places have excellent amenities and are really not that places to live. This allows a relative minority of Pakistani elite to be totally cut-off from the reality of the rest of their country. That's how many of them continue to harbour the delusion that living conditions in Pakistan are "not all that bad." Some of our more enlightened intellectuals keep telling us otherwise - people like Hassan Nisar, Najam Sethi, Asma Jahangir etc. But, you know the thing with ostriches, don't you?

.
Is it so bad ?
It's not that bad, though obviously just the fact that it is a developing country means that it is many magnitudes worse than Western Europe, but that is the case with most developing nations.

If the developing world were to be broken down into multiple tiers, with the top most tier being nations like Malaysia, Taiwan etc, Pakistan would probably fit into the middle tiers somewhere.

Also keep in mind that Pakistan is coming off of a decade of massive terrorist violence and unrest and it is still to early to say If the gains of the last year are sustainable. The added pressures of terrorist related violence and unrest will continue to play a role in motivating Pakistanis to move to other countries in larger numbers. The country has to show sustained improvement in the security front for a few more years before those numbers start dipping.

Third generation Pakistani Brit , ahem ahem ,means you are actually Brit but still no love lost for Pakistan ?? But it might be personal but still you should use Union jack's flag as your country's flag. On other hand Bobby Jindal , the governor of Louisiana, US just disowns Indian lineage.

He's just in a really crappy mood today I think. Like I said, it's a developing country, and life will always be seen different ways by the haves and have nots, especially in developing countries where the distinction between the haves and have nots is much starker and manifests itself in much stronger ways.

Do you really think the British were doing such an awesome job governing India and Pakistan prior to 1947 that independence wasn't worth it?

yes they were doing better job and built railroads and schools.. your country went downhill after independence and we all know why

bottomline is they are economic migrants and should be treated as such. Only syrians are genuinely worthy of giving asylum. Indians might not have explored asylum route yet, but are active in illegal migration equally.
I know poor people in India dont even know there is something called asylum.

Also I don't believe Indians are capable of handling so much humiliation. India is heaven when compared to some of these desperate / troubled countries.

I was watching one Home Office program regarding illegal migrants and they said themselves that Indian migrants are "gold". They don't fight, create a scene and co-operate fully with the officials. I take it as a compliment since if some one in such a desperation behaves good then rest looks upwards.

If I remember correctly, the British didn't really build a lot of infrastructure and industry in what today constitutes Pakistan, compared to what today constitutes India. The overwhelming majority of the infrastructural and industrial development Pakistan has today ocurred after Independence.

So yes, Pakistan is much better off being independent, given the lack of development in Pakistan under British rule.
